It rarely goes all that well when you tell someone, “You look just like person/celebrity A_.” But you get a lot of traction when you say, “You know, A_ looks just like you,” especially with the young.

People particularly Americans, say I look like Doc Martin. There is a passing resemblance. To the point of ...you're not..are you? I have played along, offered autograph, but put my real name and run.
