...or atleast the first semi-final.

Sorry I'm late. WHat have I... I mean, HAVE I missed anything yet?

ROFLPML!!!

Poland, Poland, where to start? The folklore costumes? Thefact that those girls are BAREFOOT together with those costumes? Or the fact that they bit into apples as if they were vipers attacking a mouse? I was just waiting to see fangs shooting out.
:D:D:D

Oh, I want Malta's dress... nightgown... whatever you call what she's wearing. It's lovely!

"Yes, we Greeks invented homosexuality and anal sex - but look how macho we are. Whooooof!"

Sorry, but there's NOTHING macho about shouting "opa!"

Oh, Macedonia, please! If you're going to have unmotivated nudity on stage, atleast teach the girls to dance to the music you play, instead of just flailing their arms like weather vanes - or get them a pole.
It worked for Miley Cyrus..?

You should see the entry that The Netherlands have sent... A 19 year old girl with a barrel organ. *facepalms*

Iceland's a winner. Ironic, considering that they've never won. Never. Ever.

But this time they should have a good chance. That's one good song.

Wheee! ONE more besides myself is interested in the ESC!

A young girl singing for Netherlands, you say? Well, then we have something in common...

We chose a young blond little girl to sing a ho-hum sappy song about her life. It's a definite yawn-alert.

Iceland may be broke, but they have sent an ample singer.

The blogs in the UK seem to like Portugal's lead.

Is it my imagination, or are these entries better than last year's semi-finals?

I suppose it depends how you define "better". :D

Butterflies and a Maltese Falcon?

Finally, ogg!:)

I thought Portugal had a nice song, sung by a woman with a nice voice.

Which was pretty boring. I like the songs to be exciting, and the singers to be outrageous.

I thought that Iceland came closest to being outrageous.

I'm not interested in the ESC, I'm more interested in the oddballs. Things like that pirate act from Latvia 2 years ago.

Though I gotta say.. Norway's act from last year was really good.

I think it's more telling for The Netherlands that the actual people on the ESC give her a bigger chance on getting through then the Dutch themselves.

I'm ashamed to admit, with this new system of semi finals, I just don't watch until the grand final. Yes, I will be watching Saturday Evening.

I have no idea what the UK song is like, all I know is it's being sung by some unknown young man.

As usual for recent contests, the UK song is rubbish, sung by a person who is prepared to risk a currently non-existent career on the chance that he/she might perhaps get a good song. I'm expecting Nul Points for the UK.

How come that the best music nation in Europe fails at ESC ?

You brought us the Beatles, the Stones, George Michael, Annie Lennox, you wrote "Cats" and "Jesus Christ Superstar", but you fail at ESC ? Even us crappy Germans beat you ?

You must hate Europe.

Germany's entrant this year just sounds strange when she sings in English. What kind of accent is that? (Now when she sings in German she sounds good.)

No, we don't hate Europe.

We just can't take the Eurovision Song Contest seriously. If Andrew Lloyd Webber were to write something, and Simon Cowell produce it...

...but they have better things to do.
