Looking at your A/V, aren't you still at the beach?:p

Right now I'm only *dreaming* of the beach.

<--- this is me dreaming of water, sand, and bare skin.

;)

Yep - see attached photo.

And I was wanting to go for a ride today.

Now does anyone wonder why I want to move to CA?

You know, I have this story about the rain and I have been meaning to finsih it, maybe tomorrow at the café? Maybe something inline about being pelted by rain and the crackle of the thunder matching the licks a lover gives you in a dark alley?

Keep dreaming Blue and I know you could have it and take it…so, maybe it's not a dream, but (a) planning and one day you will be on that beach and allow the sun to cast it's warm glow over your flesh.

I still think it's beautiful. I'm not saying I'd want it every day or for several months out of the year. One or two days of snow per year I think is just perfect.

Amazing.....I'm sitting here looking out my front window watching the snow fall hard. I'm in Southern Oregon, and we very rarely see snow either.:)

Normally I love the snow - it is beautiful, but today I am just not in the mood; I am in the mood to be laying on a warm beach like PB.

One word off! DAMN!!! It could have been...

"I am in the modd to be laying on a warm beach *on* PB."

SSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close. :p

I want snow. I'm ready for snow. I'm in Chicago and there is no snow. Where's the fucking snow??? It's going to be over 60 tomorrow. Nice, but not snow.
(check back with me in late april when i'm digging out my car).

I love Southern Oregon. I lived there for three years.

Yes, the snow falls in the mountains. It just rarely reaches the valley floors. The elevation is to low. We are at about 500ft.

It would be more likely for Portland to get snow than it would for Southern Oregon (Grants Pass, Medford, Ashland, etc.), the weather is a little warmer year round in that area of the state.

Yes. But I don't live in the mountains!:D

Living in the city and been here 4 years and this is only the 6th time I've seen it snow here and actually stick to the ground.

Down there not that much; it does get warmer in S. Oregon much of the year, but it also get's colder in the winter. The Cascades down there kind of taper off before the Siskyous start. Further north in the Cascades there are some mountains that have snow all year around. Indeed, up here in WA, the North Cascades pass has to be plowed or it would never be clear of snow. It sometimes takes them into July to clear the pass of the snow which is easily 20 feet deep during the summer.

In S. Oregon, Crater Lake sometimes has snow into the summer, but IIRC, it is not there year around.

Stop, please!

I miss Portland so much *sad sigh*...the Black Hills have their own beauty, but not to match the Gorge...nothing to compare to the strength of Portlandia's gaze...or seeing good ol Elvis at Saturday Market... *cry*

Someone have a cup of chai at the Pied Cow for me, would you? Thanks.... :(

If it makes ya feel any better the snow is melting.

PacificBlue who is now enjoying a warm bowl of spagettios.

Thanks everyone, I've only been out a couple of times

But it seemed as if all the volcanoes between Ranier & Shasta had snow- covered peaks. I always thought it was so cool that you could just look up and see some any time you liked, the way I can with maples, oaks, wildcherries, etc.

I grew up in Oregon at the foot of the Willamete Pass. We had more white Easters than we did white Christmases. Snow below 3000 ft elevation is rare in Oregon. Enjoy it while it lasts.:p

I am enjoying it! :) The weather people here keep breaking into the t.v. programs with "special" updates. I'm getting tired of the *panic* broadcasts. One of the reasons I stopped watching the news. People with personalities like mine have trouble separating what's said just for shock value and what's really the truth. I'll stick to the newspaper for my information or cnn.com.
