It's Gen-X's turn now

I'm glad you've made your position absolutely clear that the democrats changing their candidate guaruntees a Trump victory. Welcome to MAGA, BSG. 😃
I was dubious about Biden stepping down at first, but now that I see Harris kicking ass on her own without him, I agree that that Joe did the right thing. Trump is too old and feeble to compete with her.

The Baby Boomers had a good run, but 32 years of Boomer Presidents is enough.

Naw, I trust our local political experts:

🤭😄

🙄

1) NastyFuckBoi is too dumb to realize that there was talk of an open primary and dropping Harris, with some chaotic Democratic infighting over the new candidate, if President Biden stepped aside.

2) The timing and the abruptness of President Biden stepping aside, coupled with the unprecedented IMMEDIATE unified Democratic support (endorsements) for Kamala averted most of the messiness that people expected to hurt the Democratic Parry in November.

3). Vice President Harris STILL has her work cut out for her, and must strive to maintain the support of more moderate Biden voters who may be skeptical. (That is why people have been pointing to the importance of Kamala’s VP pick, policy statements, and outreach efforts, etc.)

4) Legal issues could have come into play if things hadn’t gone down the way they did. (There are still noises about campaign funds, ballots, DNC rules, etc.)

😑

The reasons for concern relating to switching horses mid-stream were / are very valid and real: The Democratic Party has defied all expectations with the speed and organization of the transition - and there are likely some powerful Democrats working in the background who deserve some serious credit for how well things have gone - so far.

Hope ALL ^ that helps.

My preference is people who don't use dumb marketing labels like "Gen X." Plain numbers would be more useful to indicate age. Or something more descriptive, like the Asscrack Generation, for the guys with sagging pants.

Can we count on your vote for Kamala in November?
Nope. The democrat party has absolutely nothing to offer the American people except crying about Trump. I'm happy to see Trump get into office one more time. But win or lose, I want him to step aside after for fresh blood in politics.

PS: I'm not a US citizen, so my 'vote' for Trump is purely symbolic in nature and I just actively encourage Americans to vote for him.

It's hard to take anything you say seriously when you don't even know the names of the American political parties.

It's hard to take anything you say seriously when you enthusiastically support the oldest Presidential candidate in history, but as soon as he's booted off the ticket, you're suddenly beating the drum about age being a problem.

The Boomers had such a stranglehold on public discourse that I'd resigned myself to a Biden/Harris ticket, but Joe handed the baton to Kamala so deftly, it was easy to make the transition.

Hate to break it to you but GenX starts at 1965 and she was born in 1964. Technically she's a boomer.

Not in attitude though. 🌴
Does this look like a Baby Boomer?

The 1965 cut-off is silly. 1960-1980 for Generation X makes more sense. I was born in '79 and Harris feels like a sister.

Honestly I feel like Gen X just decided to politely sit things out for some reason that I don't know. Like they decided they were pissed at the Greatest Generation and the Boomers but their big move was to spend a decade telling us how bad The Man is and hope that would be enough. They are gonna get skipped right over for whatever reason.

There is a ton the Democratic Party offers. You spend too much time here to spew that BS.
