It's Dec. 4th and I'm still riding my motorcycle.

Today here on the South Jersey shore it will probably top 70.

I am in heaven. Perfect morotcycle weather is heaven for me.

Freaky, ain't it?

Short sleeves and no jacket yesterday.
Though I have a feeling January and February are gonna make us pay for this weather.

Sparky- I can tell you're enjoying yourself. You forgot what date it is. :D

"The road is my sheperd, I shall not stop..Amen! It's 38 degrees here, I'm just praying for a few days of dry pavement! Every New Year's Day we have the first ride of the new year, rain or snow! Usually, we go to Hooters for hot wings n' beer...yeah...just the food..not the girls! My old ironhead Harley doesn't do well in crappy weather, but it can if I have a mind to ride on the ice! You take care, ride safe.
Eat to ride, ride to eat! :D

night before last when i was messing around on here my neighbours bike was nearly stolen
he parks his bike under my window , i heard the noise but thought it was a cat
embarrassing or what, maybe they heard me messing around and left it alone
i have let him borrrow my 6 ft kryptonite newyorker security chain
maybe they will get the message

by the way the bike is a yamaha r1 with a custom paint job and an engine tune

that is so cruel

I would love to trade my snow shovel in on a motorcycle.

Right On!

My Father (Before He Bust Himself Up!) Rode All Year Long:D He Even Rode In The Snow! lol

Now He Drives Around In His Fast Little Red Car With ALL The Windows And Skyroof Open. It's As Close To The Bike As He Can Get:D

Keep The Rubber Side Down, Sparky Kronkite!

We're still riding ours, as well.
The NC autumn has been packed full of 70 degree days. Of course, my hubby rode his bike through ice and snow during Hunterdon Co. winters. :)

Braggart! We, too, have a New Year's Day ride. Mine's put away for the good days now.

We just hit our high of the day at 62. Now the temp's dropping like a bomb and the high's for the next few days are in the 30s.

The temp isn't so much what I mind, it's the rain - tired of arriving wet at work, hard to see and be seen, and most of all, hard to stop ...

Wait a minute! Perhaps being wet wasn't from the rain, after all ... thinking of all the lovely women on Lit ...

it's in the 70's here too... it's weird to go xmas shopping in shorts.

ya know, i've never been on a motorcycle... hearing you guys talk about 'em makes me want to find a biker to take me for a ride... ;)

i have a feeling taht when winter finally hits this year, we're gonna pay big! so enjoy it while we've got it... and instant mashed potatoes look like real snow when you sprinkle 'em on the grass... (don't ask)

What do you mean "we" Kimosabe?

I may go riding this weekend if it isn't pouring down rain; there is a local Airhead tech day at my friends place outside of town. *Shudder* - who ever heard of a tech day in December in the Pacific NorthWet?!?

My old ironhead Harley doesn't do well in crappy weather
Hah! That old Panhead doesn't do well in good weather! When are you ever going to get off that lawnmower and get a real bike?? :D

I guess you can tell by my name we ride! Here in LA (Lower Alabama)
LOL its been in the 70's also we are going on a different ride every weekend. Hoping to put on the Leather and ride to the inlaws on Christmas morning.

It will be 70 here in NYC today, but.....

I left the naked Rex at the shore in a heated garage. Oh well.

As for the "real bike" reference above - Hardley ("Hardley," that's what I call Harley's) - don't get me wrong I like Harley's, and I would have one - a Road King.

However.....

As far as having one bike goes, that's just one bike - they are far too antiquated in design and flat out slow - to be my one and only bike.

Harley's are best for fat guys hauling their fat ladies for a couple of hours. Or if you might need to travel greater distance - they are good to trailer to your destination. And lately, Harley's are at their best "resting" in some dink Lawyer's garage. Just take a look around the next time you hear one.

They do sound cool.

My bike sounds cool to me. But that's not why I ride. My bike turns the 1/4 mile in well under ten seconds - It tops out at around 150mph only held back because it has no fairing, it's naked. My bike handles better than a Porsche or Ferrari. It gets better mileage than a Hardley with a greater cruising range. It's safer, stops much better with racing type brakes. It's smoother and will go longer distances without hurting my ass.

And get this - I could easily own two of my bikes for the price of one larger, touring Hardley.

Besides - I'm just not fat enough to ride one yet. Maybe someday. Maybe.
