How many other people stay on the internet all night long? How many other people would say their biggest addiction, more than cigarettes, or caffeine, or young men (in my particular case) is surfing the Web? I damn Bill Gates all to hell for this insane internet insomnia I suffer from! Do any of the rest of you suffer from the same affliction???

What you need, Eve, is a team of lithe young slaveboys to pander to your every need (and I mean EVERY NEED) as you tap away on your PC. Works for me anyway. They didn't carry me off to bed till at least 5am last night.

I used to have that problem. When I first went online, I developed this insane need to spend all hours online, mostly chatting and not surfing much.

Now, if I get into a good conversation, I lose all track of time.

Of course, I still have the ingrained "sleep when they sleep" thing the nurses told me when I had my daughter, so I usually find myself in bed by 9:00, but you may see me pop on again at 12:00, because I can't sleep, and maybe again at 3:00 and of course at 6:00. You will frequently see me log on and log off rather quickly; even throughout the day.

I guess I still have the insomnia. I still want to keep in touch with friends, but lack the desire to sit here anymore. I feel like entirely too much of my time has been wasted sitting here. I could be doing so much more. Now I just need to figure out what that is.

Hey, Eve, dig this. I quit smoking cigarettes when I was 20. I quit smoking pot when I was 26, and quit doing real good, high quality drugs when I was 28. And I got married when I was 30. So all of the things I enjoyed doing most in this world were banished from my life 2 years ago.

However, on any given night I am online from midnite til 5 or 6 am, and on sundays you can usually find me online for about 12-14 hours. Granted much of this time is spent working on some of the various projects I have going, but a lot is also mindless uncontrolled surfing. If I would have had access to the internet when I was, oh, say 13, I never would have discovered beer or drugs or women. I doubt I would have ever left the house.

I think Bill Gates should take his 20 or so billion dollars and by the Catholic Church so we could all have a proper place to worship the real Holy Trinity...the Microchip, The World Wide Web, and The Graphical Interface!!

Bang on the mark, Eve sister … I gave up smoking at new year’s – I’d smoked for 25 years, every day, increasingly heavily, never stopped before, and went from 40 a day to zero overnight …

And now my fingers are on the keyboard instead! I find this site dangerously addictive! And I am often on the net – on this site, at 2 3 4am when I should be upstairs in bed, and am late for work events the next day! Madness. Shall we do the therapy together

We still keep doing it, though. It's just too much fun this site. Before I discovered Literotica, I spent all my time in AOL chat rooms. I've never been back since.

With all the stress from work, its great to come home and read the bb. Im usually on every night for 5-6 hrs. Friday and Saturday nights i stay on almost all night.

Since i've found this site i am on alot more.

With ladies like EOD, Renee, Tiggs, and on and on LOL its easy to keep busy

My day on the Internet starts at 4am PST and goes until 5pm PST, Monday to Friday. So WTF am I doing here now at this time? Well as a fulltime daytrader..this is my fun time. I spend over 80 hours per week on-line...most for profit, some for fun. And I would like to add that this is one of the 'funnest' sites to visit. Also the most stimulating with the talented authors who contribute their stories. Thank you all.

Eve, I am also an addict. I come to work about an hour earlier in the mornings than I need to just to log in here. There is no nicer way to start the day - a hot cup of coffee (or maybe hot chocolate) and sitting in front of my pc.

If I don't start my day this way then I feel agitated - isn't that a sign of addiction?

Oh, believe me, little slut brother, it is QUITE possible to smoke and surf at the same time! I went from 1 pack of cigarettes per day BI (Before Internet), to 2 packs per day AI (After Internet). I know, I know, it's going to kill me some day, but for now... I'm just not ready to quit.

And Gil, Friday nights, when I'm on here until the sun comes up, are the nights when hubby is home - passed out in bed by 9 pm, but still yet, whenever he is home, I am loyal to just him. Whenever he is gone, however...

Let's just say that you will never see me post on a Saturday night, cause I've got better things to do! And during the week, like tonight, I will probably be off here by 2 am so I can get to work on time the next day. Oh, shit! It's now after 2, and I'm probably going to oversleep and be late for work again... Well, maybe I'll just read a couple more threads....
