I've tried the Febreeze odor spray or whatever that new one is. I'm not big on burning candles. The Febreeze has helped some, but not gotten rid of it completely.

And if it doesn't remove the odors, you have the makings of an...interesting salad dressing. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Actually, to be serious for a moment, sometimes I simmer some spices, like cinnamon stick and cloves. Makes the house smell like you've been baking all day.

Get some regular white vinegar. Put a few glasses or bowls of it around your place - it's a natural odor eater.

this is also true of newspaper and baking soda.
