I'm psyched! I moved into my new office today. I still have to trim out a door and window, and I'll get some new lighting too once I figure out what I want, but the rest is done. :nana: (sorry 'bout the 'nana....I just had to.)
Congrats.... :nana:

sweet!

but more imporantly, do you think this'll make you more or less present at lit during the day?

This is a good question EJ, one to which I don't know the answer. I'd like to think that seeing daylight during the day will stimulate my brain more than it has been recently and therefore I will attend to my work more. But then, the first thing I did this morning after washing the window and turning on my computer was come here.
Isn't it time to change your location?

suddenly i'm picturing you as the chevy chase character in whatever in the hell movie he did where he was an author who lived in the city but moved to the country to become more productive and serene. the town was full of flaky characters... i dunno... i can never remember the name of this movie but it's hysterical. trust me... it's a funny image.

bg's big experiment

I bought myself a jar of marshmallow creme and a jar of crunchy peanut butter, and today, my northeastern friends (and transplanted northeastern friends), I made myself a fluffernutter.

Pretty good, I have to admit. Next time, I will toast it. I think that will be really tasty.

It was even better, eaten with potato chips. ;)

Hmmm, "job with benefits". I trust that's not similar to "friends with benefits".

Thanks Scalywag and quoll! Benefits - you know things like health insurance, 401K plan, vacation time........all those good things. Plus this company also pays for a health club memebership (to a certain limit) and add'l schooling - so they have wonderful benefits!

Boy did I kill this thread or what!?

Sorry folks, I'm not normally prone to such outbursts, but this one hit a little close to home. :(

Ahhhhhh...... :)
Her teacher told my kidlet not to tell me about it when I came to pick her up this afternoon. She said, "Moms notice this kind of thing. Just wait and see."

Of course, my little one ran to the car saying, "Mommy, Mommy! I lost my tooth! See? It's in this box. Now my name's on the tooth chart!"

She's funny. :)

God I long for those days when all that mattered in life were gold stars, finger paints, loose teeth, a 4 ounce paper carton of milk and sprinting home to spend the next 5 hours playing in the flowerbed with a couple friends and a regiment of Star Wars action figures. Those were the days. :)

We used to make roadways in the dirt gutters, many a big rig rolled to it's doom in the raging torrent below. :D

Unfortunately that all stops at some point, right now i'm painfully watching my 8 yo: do his homework, I'm sure he is studying for his masters in Procrastination, Obfuscation, Distraction and Oneirism, plus he has already taught me Frustration.
