Scaly, I knew from the beginning we were kindred spirits. I love fluffernutters a lot... Yank and I have talked before on the subject. He does not, however, understand that toast gives it that je ne sais quoi. I feel more comforted now that there is a true believer here with me.Scalywag said:I like my peanut butter and fluff on toast; the heat of the toast melts both and they ooze together....but I like peanut butter and chocolate too.
Hmmm, maybe I need to set up a taste test....

i was merely suggesting a less than typical food combination... suddenly, something went wrong...

He will. Yank is nothing if not adventurous about food.Scalywag said:Although I have converted a few people to the toast fluffernutter, I've never met anyone who has tried it before my suggestion to try it, until now.
And if Yank hasn't tried one, he should.

Thanks!

I told you about them at least a year ago!! Hmmm - this is that sack pack thing isn't it?midwestyankee said:A toasted fluffernutter is a wonderful thing.
Kudos to Scaly for suggesting this ineluctably delectable delight.

I'm sorry, Cate. I suspect it's the aging memory thing, actually.Cathleen said:I told you about them at least a year ago!! Hmmm - this is that sack pack thing isn't it?![]()
No harm Yank... I suspect that aging thing really is tough to deal with.midwestyankee said:I'm sorry, Cate. I suspect it's the aging memory thing, actually.![]()
I'll post in the WPMO thread when I have to start gumming my fluffernutters. For now, I can deal with the occasional dropped recollection.Cathleen said:No harm Yank... I suspect that aging thing really is tough to deal with.![]()

Hmmm, gumming fluffernutters... maybe you've missed the enjoyment window on toasted fluffernutters. At least you can say you tried it.midwestyankee said:I'll post in the WPMO thread when I have to start gumming my fluffernutters. For now, I can deal with the occasional dropped recollection.![]()
I'm sure that I'll be enjoying the toasted ones for a long time yet. Next up: trying my soon-to-be-patented chocolate fluffernutter in the toasted form.Cathleen said:Hmmm, gumming fluffernutters... maybe you've missed the enjoyment window on toasted fluffernutters. I will have to taste that vicariously... or when my blood sugar level is bottoming out. Yeah, that's it, I'll keep one in my emergency kit.midwestyankee said:I'm sure that I'll be enjoying the toasted ones for a long time yet.
