I don't know about your neck of the Woods, Og, but up my end the air has it's knife out. The temperature must have fallen a good bit in two hours.

I ran a mile today! I have never run a full mile. I have always slowed down to a walk at some point when I did it in the past. but not tonight! I ran a full mile in just over 12 minutes! Ok, so that'sa little slow, but I did it! Woohoo!

Good for you Thee!!!
I found out today during our Holiday Lunch at work that I don't have to work tomorrow!
One of the owners asked if anyone was planning on working tomorrow. I said, I I am. She asked why? I said, cuz it's a work day.
No it's not!
Yeah!!!![]()
I cannot figure out what in the hell we did to deserve being kicked every time we finally seem to manage to find our feet.

You are really getting antsy waiting for the new gym to open huh? lol
That is so kewl!! It can be so difficult to push ourselves that way, but so satisfying afterwards.
On the rare occasions I'll go for a jog lately, I'll head for the paths in the woods. Or larger, well designed parks work. The impact is so much easier on you than concrete or asphalt.
Too bad. There are some cities that are just a marvel, with the civil engineers' incorporating the needs of future development. Some incredible planning. It's been open for a few months now...
mmm...sry...I thought I saw your martial arts group would be moving into a new building, now there, for sessions beginning in January.
My town isn't conducive to running. There are no sidewalks, and the hills are so rocky and covered in underbrush... A hiker's dream, but I am no hiker...

I lived in a city once, one could almost cross from one end of town (100,000+pop) to the other on concrete bike paths that took such wonderful tours through undeveloped reserved city lots, with never having to cross a street except in an underpass or overpass. And there were many access points where it was simply, but beautifully landscaped. Loved it.
Oh, the kung fu school! Yeah, how quickly I forget my own life
Yeah, there was no planning in this town. The roads are mostly built on old indian pathways and trails. Half the roads are too narrow for the larger vehicles that travel them, no sidewalks (well, there are some, scattered about and useless for general use, and new construction requires one be installed, but some of them are constructed too high so that it takes a huge step to get up on them and are easier bypassed).

I bet those old trails were fun to survey prior to construction.
I've known developers to insist on high sidewalks just to keep the young skateboarders from congregating. lol In such cases, they usually have an existing or planned skate park though.
