A friend of mine has one just like it in his shop. He's converting it to a IMCA racer. Carve off half the weight, add 1/3 more power, much needed frame and suspension modifications, a full cage for safety. It'll be a real car then and it will still be street legal, more or less. :D

I had a green one, but it was a Trans Am, not a Camaro.

I gotta admit, that generation (fourth) Firebird/Camaro sucked monkey ass so damned hard that I'm surprised you still see any of them on the road. Mine looked great, sounded great, and broke down about every two weeks. I hated it, especially when compared with my 1979 Rally Sport, and my 1985 Z28 (now that was a real car, but it wasn't even close to factory).

I love the way the fifth generation Camaros look, but I'm just not real convinced that mechanically they'll be any better than the previous incarnation.

Thee: whoever talked you into buying a V6 in that car should be drawn and quartered immediately. They're too damned heavy for anything but a V8.

But if I draw and quarter my checkbook, than I wouldn't have had the money to buy it in the first place (I was broke when I bought it, and could barely afford what I bought)!

It came with 240 horsepower. I works just fine when not breaking down on me.

And I am buying it with the V8 this time around :D

That's my old car... It's got dents in the passenger side quarter panel, a navy blue driver side door, and the T-tops are leaking...

My new car will be so much nicer :D (for a while... :rolleyes: ).

I called it! During dinner last night, I said that the first thing my boss was going to have me do when getting back from my vacation was that he would have me drive out to Edgewater. I was dead on with that prediction. I didn't know it was going to be because the power was disconnected in my absence, but I knew I was going to have to drive out that way!

Power is back on now, by the way ;)

Oh, I forgot to mention. My services as a computer draftsman are being loaned out to someone that I hate for today and tomorrow. I should have quit my job when I had the chance :(
 
I am sick of people acting like they own me just because my boss loans out my services for a few hours.
