Most women that I have smiled at in the last year won't even do me the courtesy of looking directly at me. I'm lucky if it even gets to "hello", which it never gets past anymore.

I'm sorry sweetie, I think we somehow upset the weather gods when we drove through all those states on our way to FL. It started raining while we were driving...and from what I understand hasn't really stopped since.

I just ate a Fuddruckers grilled chicken sandwich for lunch...

For those of you that don't know, I hate chicken. It is a flat, flavorless, dry and stringy little creature that I normally avoid. Most of my diet consists of red meat. So this nearly gave the person ringing up my order a heart attack when he didn't have to place my regular order that he knows by heart.

My roof has been overhauled, the leaky valley resealed, the rotten cast iron gutters replaced with new plastic, the fascias and soffits clad in shiny white plastic...

...and the builder/roofers took away presents of tomatoes.

Now I have a roof ready for winter (and fewer tomatoes).

Yesterday was my six year anniversary for studying martial arts.

Today was my nephew's sixth birthday. Makes the other one quite easy to remember

I am really enjoying the weightlifting workout that I have been putting together the last few months. I started off with simple bench presses, and then added curls, and then shoulder flies. Then I started doing multiple sets of each, and added in squats and a couple other lifts and different types of crunches. It can all be done with my own body weight and 20 or 30 pound dumbbells, it lasts 20 to 30 minutes, and it really gets me pumped up.

busy with a move several hours from where I lived before, and a return to the ranks of the college kids. Instead of hot, the college boys are just little kiddies to me... keeps me out of trouble I suppose
