So we got a house, and I saw it yesterday and fell in love with it. Husband did good when he picked it. Closing will be in three weeks, and then we'll be living one state further east. I am so nervous and excited about it!

In other news, out of the 18 hours I was up yesterday I spent 10.5 hours driving. I am stiff, tired and don't ever want to see my car again. I really hate driving.

This is exactly what my son feared when Obama began his campaign for the nomination. An inspirational speaker with no proven track record in administration, just like JFK who got us into Viet Nam, welched on the Bay of Pigs, made a big show of facing down the Soviets over the Cuban missiles when both and Krushchev knew from their satillite images that there was nothing Russia could do.

I must say I like the distance I have over here. No ads, no signs, I can talk to the neighbors without talking about the election. Heaven. I get more politics on Lit than anywhere else these days. If I get my absentee ballot in time, all will be good.
