I'm thinking of taking my trip in mid-February or early April; anyone care to suggest places in the US that are nice to see and won't cost me an arm and a leg for a few days' stay?

Hmmm. Washington, D. C. itself can be pricey, but there's a lot in driving distance and staggering quantities of things to see in the capital. Also, if memory serves there are two airports near it, and if you land and stay near the further-out one you can do it cheaper and still get into the city in reasonable time. In counterbalance to the prices of getting and staying there, there's also a great deal to do that's free. I always stop at Arlington National Cemetary, myself. It may sound like an odd place to go, but it's beautiful and crammed with history. There's a large zoo there as well, and any number of memorials and historical buildings and monuments and museums. Lovely sculpture gardens, too.

Now how in the hell did she get the cap of the aspirin bottle. And how and the hell would I know how many she swallowed. *off to the hospital*

Hope everything comes out alright, Zeb...

Ya know, I so rarely put anyone on ignore, but enough is too much. The function is there for a reason, right? (Not you, Zeb... Yet *wink*)

It said crushed corn flakes...
My head said ' wtf is a corn flake?'
I have visions of a piece of corn being sliced very thinly.
Then my mind snaps at me 'you complete dumbass drink your coffee, its the freaking cereal your eating':rolleyes:

Oh stop it!! You and this "Chicago last week of March" thing! I already told I cannot make it and you keep torturing me with it!!!!

Do you have any idea of how many Russian girls I will have to seduce to take my mind of this????

Wellllll neither do I but it is a lot. Could upset the delicate diplomatic situation between our countries.... Have you invited Putin? See???? He will probably be upset too! More Russian girls being seduced....

I think it is time I say goodnight.

Goodnight.

I feel like shit, yet another sinus infection. This time I have coughing to go with it, went to the doctors and got antibiotics so hopefully things will clear up. But damn I'm tired, feel like getting sick but am doing my best to force myself to keep things down. I don't want to call in work tomorrow because I need the hours but man I feel like shit and am wiped out...

*hugs*

I'm recovering from pretty much the same thing, so I'm not so afraid of the germs and stuff ;)

I wish this guy I'[m working with would make up his mind

During the summer he cranks it down to 68 degrees, in the winter he cranks it up to 78 degrees. Set it in the middle somewhere and leave it alone for Pete's sake.

Pseudo progress is worse than being stagnant.

:rose:

Related: Probably not what you were referring to, but is that what to call the feeling of satisfied accomplishment that comes with completing recurring chores like shoveling the snow, raking the leaves, or perhaps house cleaning - "pseudo progress?"

K painted a room here yesterday - that was real progress! (Though hardly life-changing. )

Sometimes I feel like the universe held her up to me and said "Look." And as I looked, they took her away.

I wish I could wiggle my nose and have a few things automatically organize themselves.

Well. That was a frantic and unwelcome half hour. *sigh*

There's no cock-up in the world like a "for your convenience" cock-up.

Oooh, that's not nice. :( Frozen pipes?

I'm very nearly bored enough to go hang out on the GB. Bla.

Some people are asses and there is nothing we can do about it...

ow :( my eyes sting :(

Pseudo progress is worse than being stagnant.

Never good enough :(

Oh, my... so much hugs needed today... let's start:
