The lake is freezing up, it occasionally lets out this etheral wail: it starts low then zooms overhead before trailing off. It lets out the odd "boom" from time to time as the ice cracks under the pressure.

It does this every year for a 2-3 weeks as it changes into its winter state.

It's the coolest thing and hardly anyone else knows about it or gets to hear it. I love it!

And this year it is freezing flat so we should be able to go skating!
