Yup. Needs to be a bit more of that, methinks. It's such a short piece, though, I don't think the reader is that well acquainted with those physical characteristics.

There is a game that comes with Gamespy Arcade (one of the services that I used to use for online gaming), called Yarn. Someone comes up with a first sentence, and then everyone else writes their own follow-up sentence. Then you vote on all of the next sentences but your own. The winner is then the next sentence in the story. this is done for about eight ot ten sentences, until the story is finished. I always enjoyed that game. I haven't played it in years.

I hate that too. I also hate it when my teams can't do anything at the beginning of the season but can miraculously beat the #2 team in the country towards the end...
