I feel like complete shite this morning after being up til 4 am and I just realized... I never defrosted the turkey for tomorrow... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Guess I'll add a fresh turkey to the shopping list for today. There is simply no way to defrost a 25 pound turkey in 24 hours. Doesn't work.

I would get in sooooooooooooo much trouble if I tried to serve turkey for Christmas. Bacon covered and slow roasted venison is Christmas dinner. You have no idea what would happen to me if I tried to serve something else. *shudder* Course, if nobody gets a deer. But the turkey won't go to waste, several birthdays coming up I can use it for.

We always have turkey for Christmas dinner, so this year is going to be a departure (we'd get thrown in jail if we tried to get our own deer...) We have mustard and sugar crusted Gammon for Christmas Eve though - delicious.

lol - well as long as you have a plan. it's funny how we have foods that we associate with certain festivals and anything else seems almost a desecration, isn;t it?
I have a *wonderful* recipe for neck of lamb - very spicy and Christmassy - if anyone is struggling for festive food.

I was having an extremely bad night lastnight, don't really want to get into it. But needless to say I'm getting a little more stressed out this holiday then I'd like to be, sometimes I really love working retail but right now I'm really hating it.
