A kiss on the hand, 2/3's of the way down page six and that's all that happened!!! At least he's naked and in the tub now, probably half a page or more until she gets there...lol

Not a hot tub, just a normal tub, lol. How the heck is a not modern pirate going to get a hot tub on his ship?

I made a mistake when I read the properties, it had 11,000+ characters (as in letters) when I sent it to you, not words. Word count right now is about 3,200 and it's 3/4 down the page on page 6.

ETA: BTW, is 'untaken' a word? As in if someone has one hand then the other hand is untaken or should it be not taken?

Actually I've never been in a hot tub with a guy, sure I've been swimming in a hotel pool with hubby and his parents pool but no hottub...

It sounded fine to Me, what I read. You have to decide where to take it, how long you want it to be.
Let the characters tell you when to do more than fondle. Listen to them. Don't try to force it.

I'm just nervous that it won't be very well received in all honesty, that people will say it took too long to get to the point and it was a let down once it got there...

All stories aren't just there for the sex. Make your characters real, let them be the story, and the sex just a part of it. If you keep your reader intrigued with the characters, it won't matter when or where the sex is.

Thanks so much for tonight babe, I owe you a lot. Not only for the emotional support but also for the help with the writing. I'm up to about 3,600 words and halfway down page 7. I have the basic idea of what is going to happen, it just writing it down. But I think I'm going to go head to bed, being emotionally exhausted has the effect of making me physically exhausted as well. I'll let it simmer in my mind, perhaps tomorrow I can write a bit more, not sure I'll get it done but I should be able to get a bit of it done depending on how I feel tomorrow.
