I'm with V on that one as well. I've never had this much trouble making friends as I have in this town. (East Anglia area.) I'm starting to wonder if I am going to have to do cartwheels and run naked through the street.
Course then I'll just be nicknamed a loon and a possible gf/bf/husband threat!

I'm in the Midlands, before that home was London (so yes, 'up'
).It's complicated... it's not really a new place, it's my university and I've been here, on and off, for 6 years. Main problem with Uni is that people graduate, people move away.
So the Fiance has lived in this area all his life and has his family and friends around, whilst all my friends either stayed in London, or moved there after they graduated. My health isn't brilliant so I can't meet people the way you usually do at my age (pubs, clubs, bars and energetic socialising) so when I'm not working I'm sitting watching TV, quite often by myself because the Fiance is scary busy *and* has friends to see - and I am not gonna be the kind of Fiancee who tries to stop him going out.
So there. Most of the time I'm happy just mooching about with him or by myself in front of the TV, but every so often, like earlier, it bugs/upsets me.
So soooooooooo much more information than any of you wanted, I'll bet
