'Pagali atma,' eh?

OK, if I can interpret the 'crazy' as 'eccentric,' which is certainly accurate.

(BTW, "pazzo/a" is crazy in Italian. I suppose it's just coincidence - the 'Indo-European' always seemed impossibly distant to me, but . . .)

:rose:

Yes, crazy/eccentric, though not in its strictest form. Ya'know what, Dampy is much better than me at this. (spent ages with her trying to write the hindi for 'i love you' but phonetically!)

Coincidence, like 'deux' in french is similar to 'doh' in hindi both meaning '2' :)

*massage* ;)

I don't know particularly much about it, although I did spend an inordinate amount of time reading about Sanskrit grammar the other week.

Dukkha is also the first of the Four Noble Truths (and ergo the basis for what Buddhism seeks to address), and is commonly translated as suffering, though this is not entirely correct. It's a fairly complicated term, but it means something along the lines of lacking, missing, incomplete, and unsatisfactory. Anicca is impermanence, and anatta is no-self or no-soul.

Occasionally.

Sounds like the reading was fun! ;)
I just looked up 'Anatman' on Wiki and read about The Noble Truths briefly :)

Occasionally ;) interesting.

That statement is redeemed by the "but . . .".

(I have no idea whether the Italian pazzo and the Hindi pagali are cognate though.)

I enjoy it. I never did find a verb conjugation table, though.

I see. The "discussion" section of the Wikipedia page on Anatman is interesting, it apparently has been subject to regular conflict (since anyone can edit it) by people supporting various interpretations of the concept.

Yes.

I much rather prefer fever that leaves me delirious. Sobering fever with thoughts stripped from all layers until only pure truth is left - now that, is something to fear.

I'm a sickly alchemist.

I repeat myself in quotation, but I forget if for the same reason:

"Mensch, es spukt in Deinem Kopfe; Du hast einen Sparren zu viel! Du bildest Dir große Dinge ein und malst Dir eine ganze Götterwelt aus, die für Dich da sei, ein Geisterreich, zu welchem Du berufen seist, ein Ideal, das Dir winkt. Du hast eine fixe Idee!" It's German, by the way.

I don't want to feel like this. Not again.

Nah main jaano, nah thu jaane, kassah hai yeh mausam...koi nah jaane.

They say you've gone to heaven but that can't be true
Because it was heaven being here with you

They say you've gone forever but that can't be right
Because I'm gonna be with you again in the dark of the night

They say that you only get one chance at a love that's true
And maybe they are right cos even after all these years
I still can't stop loving you
