Oh, I think I disagree with Grace - this is a lovely story (I wish I could hear Zade telling it in her softly exressive voice and lovely Welsh accent), and surely the powerful imagery would "stick" and get the job done. Nightmares? Gosh, don't you think kids are made of sterner stuff than that?

 trust you, cara. :p

I hate going on about it to you, and so i wont, i'll say it here instead.

That shouldnt have been upsetting, but it was.
Seeing him like that. 20 years ago.
And comparing to 2 years ago.
Remembering.
The guilt.

~~I said i hoped this year would be a good one- i don't take it back. I just hope that the release i seem to have found in every drawing ive done so far this year is indicative of change, acceptance and moving on. I hope.

I want to be able to smile when i see him, not want to cry.

I saw an interview with some singer once, I can't remember whom (no one I particularly like, I should imagine), who talked about why he wrote more sad songs than happy ones; I found it interesting. He said something along the lines of this: when he was happy, he didn't want to write, he just wanted to live in the moment and be happy, but when he was sad, writing songs helped him to sort through that and make sense of it.
Sort of like writing stories... if there isn't disruption and pain in the character's lives, it leaves little to writer as meat for a story. Unless we aren't telling a story and only writing a scene... and a happy scene can be quite fun to write... but I can't do 5,000+ words of only happiness and light... That would be an interesting writing challenge... to write an actual 5,000+ short story (with plot and is INTERESTING to read) that involves only happiness, joy, enjoyment, contentment, etc. (all the good emotions), without the fear of loss, pain, suffering, etc. (no dark emotions)... could a that really be done?

PS. I love the lotus pic btw!

I might have to ask your advice re: the strap on sex thing before my night is up- im about to write a strap on session. Quite frankly im blind in that department. You up for it? *snicker*
oooh, that sounds like a fun set of lessons. Mal and I have had our fun with strap ons... not as often as I would like, but hey... I'm greedy... I want my pussy and penis too ;)

Naked time! :D
hey, there are no photos of that! 109 photos of you with various instruments (can you really play all of them?) but none even shirtless! (love the kittie too)

There's a very good reason for that. And yes, I can play all of those instruments a little.

Wow! Apparently I reorganized my home office yesterday while medicated....I can't find anything!!!

My gf said that she tried to stop me to no avail...

God, I hope I didn't throw anything important away....

I found that wielding a strap-on was harder work than I expected.

If I can go shirtless (yes, all my AVs are of me), anyone can go shirtless... I've been to too many Renn festivals and pagan gatherings to have any fear of shirtlessness any more.

Honestly, Mal isn't all that good wielding the strap-on yet... the effort and angles required to "top" me and make me go all squoogie is hard on her hips and low back... it's better when she's on her back and I ride on top... but by the time I'm really worked up I'm too exhausted to ride my way to release. She's improving her cardio endurance and her leg-hip strength, so maybe in a few months I'll be able to update my report ;)

Kids ask the damnedest questions.

This afternoon my niece asked, "Why don't you have as much fun as the other adults?"

Ow.
