how do u teach a kid to NOT talk with their mouth full of food? ?

its gross
Hopefully they will grow out of it.... girls usually quicker than boys....

If you do it to a girl she'll usually get the hint quickly and think it's gross also...
a boy on the other hand will only think you are cool....
so smack the little darlin and tell him to knock it off....

 It worked with my two....

Ram two Cadbury's cream eggs into your mouth and do the same back to them. It should put them off for life

I could webcam it for you if you like and turn it into an educational movie? ;)

Stick a mirror in front of her and she'll soon realise just how ugly it makes her face look, and how unlady like it is ;) she'll also run from the table crying-a for the cure for that? there isnt one. Let her cry. :D

Alternatively, you could tell them this story. It's true, because it happened to the girl down my road... ;)

She was about 6 at the time, and she had this really bad habit of talking with her mouth full. Her parents warned her about it time and time again, but she secretly enjoyed the reaction she always got and kept on doing it.

One day her mother went to Tesco's and did the weekly grocery shop. The bananas were on special offer, so she bought lots of them. Unbeknown to her, though, she hadn't just bought bananas.... because hidden between the fruits were some fierce winged insects with hairy legs and sharp teeth, called Etiquette Flies.

No one knows much about Etiquette Flies, because they usually live deep in the rainforest. But it's a known fact that when a Etiquette Flies spot small child talking with their mouths full, they swarm and attack the child.

They don't kill you, but they bite and the bite marks always turn into huge, pustulous zits with white heads. Once the poison gets inside you, it pumps up your stomach with gas, and unless you're an accomplished farter there's a strong chance that you'll turn into a human balloon and float off into space.

The little girl down my road got attacked badly and had to wear a paper bag over her head for days afterwards, while her parents tied her to the ground with guy ropes to stop her taking off. She even made it on the front page of the local newspaper.

And that's why it's important not to talk when you have your mouth full of food.

If you think that's bad, you should hear about what happened to the little girl I once taught, who ran down the school corridor...

She ran into someone carrying a glass bowl full of rice pudding, and one of the glass shards cut the main artery in her neck. She only lived because a teacher was on hand to stick his fingers in the cut and stop the blood flow.

Ok, that wasn't nightmare inducing that was just disturbing. Why do you have to share these things?

why can't they be funny clumsy zade occurances?!

Pink - Who Knew

You took my hand
You showed me how
You promised me you'd be around
Uh huh
That's right
I took your words
And I believed
In everything
You said to me
Yeah huh
That's right

If someone said three years from now
You'd be long gone
I'd stand up and punch them up
Cause they're all wrong
I know better
Cause you said forever
And ever
Who knew

Remember when we were such fools
And so convinced and just too cool
Oh no
No no
I wish I could touch you again
I wish I could still call you friend
I'd give anything

When someone said count your blessings now
For they're long gone
I guess I just didn't know how
I was all wrong
They knew better
Still you said forever
And ever
Who knew

Yeah yeah
I'll keep you locked in my head
Until we meet again
Until we
Until we meet again
And I won't forget you my friend
What happened

If someone said three years from now
You'd be long gone
I'd stand up and punch them out
Cause they're all wrong and
That last kiss
I'll cherish
Until we meet again
And time makes
It harder
I wish I could remember
But I keep
Your memory
You visit me in my sleep
My darling
Who knew
My darling
My darling
Who knew
My darling
I miss you
My darling
Who knew
Who knew

Professionally I would say use gentle reminders eg 'please don't talk with your mouth full as other people won't want to see what you are eating' and positive reinforcement eg when they are eating with mouth shut and not talking tell them how great they are for managing this. However I also know from practical experience that it doesn't really work so I'd go with the cream egg idea if I was you... ;)
