Grrrrr!!!!

I love my nan, i really do but when she is instrumental in my lack of sleep the night before an exam im not terribly fond of her.

I could cry so much right now but frankly i have not the energy nor the time.

I have been in bed for 6 hours- i got into bed shortly after midnight. My nan has had to stay the night and that means she's slept in my room in my queensize bed with me. This i have no problem with as its a rare occurance.

But my god. She has developed a snoring problem. That and she hates being hot and so kicks off the duvet (i LOVE snuggling on my duvet). On top of this i am already stressed and tired and in a state of heightened psychological arousal/ anxiety.

And so. I lay awake till around 2 staring at the time being projected onto my ceiling. Then at some point i dozed off. I re-awoke again shortly after and continued where i left off in the rather invigorating task of watching the numbers turn on my clock. Basically my night consisted of being awake, punctuated intermittently with dozing off only to be awoken moments later.

I could fucking cry right now. I don't think i've had more than an hours sleep.

I have an exam to sit. After that i am going to chill for a bit, but that chill session looks like i might end up falling asleep with a shisha pipe in my gob. My best friend is looking likely to have to carry me home. This will be a feat because a) he has most likely stayed up all night. b) i live an hour and a half away from uni by public transport.

Since 2am i have wanted to get out of bed and log onto lit. or made use of the time by studying.

Whilst it's not my nan's 'fault' its hardly fair on me, and i wont let it happen again. I couldnt even go downstairs and sleep on the sofa- having spent a good 6 months on it when my paternal grandparents visited- i don't think i could take another night on there in my life.

*sigh* my rant is over, i have no tears, my face is currently a permanent scowl, and i feel like the bitch of the world right now and so help them god if anyone chooses to cross me right now.

le sigh
delayed schools everywhere. the kids are housebound and eager to get on with things and so am i.
im not sure i like these ice storms so very much. hrm.

I need to take a week off to work on stuff for my business and get some things straightened out. I know I'd spend most of the time working on things that I don't need to be though. Damn my borderline ADD.

Trying to type on a keyboard programmed as UK characters, but without the markings to look at since it's my own US one, is more difficult than I'd have thought.

I gotta learn sometime. Eventually I'll stop typing @ when I mean ". At least, I hope so.

What sort of insane person would cut a huge square out of the dust jacket of a book given as a gift because it had the price on it??

I haven't figured out yet where the tilde is. I'm sure I'll run across it when I'm trying to type something else. ;)

Never mind, found it! ~~~ (inquiring minds had to know) Of course, now I don't know where that straight line that's supposed to be over the backslash is. Or the backslash, for that matter...
