I want that live happily ever after person. I want to be happy with one person. I want to get married and I want to have a family. I want to still be able to look into one person's eyes and see my life with them and smile after 40 years. I want someone to complete my sentences before they're even half way out of my mouth and I want someone to hold me while I sleep and kiss me deeply in the morning even if I have horrendous morning breath. I want someone to do the dishes after I cook for them and doesn't mind doing the laundry, but actually offers once in a blue moon.

But I guess I'm just asking for too much.

Hi!
It's your lucky day! :)

Ken's here. :D

That's what everyone wants.
But to quote the great philosopher Mick Jagger...You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you'll get what you need.

I do hope that you get everything you want, Ari.
And I don't think it's really asking too much.

I love her with all my heart, but sometimes I feel like she's the most self-centered brat on the Earth and I wonder where I went wrong in raising her, but then I have to remember she's only twelve and is not yet done growing and I'm not done raising. . . but how come kids know what buttons to push to make you cry?

My kids make me want to cry sometimes.

Just because I'm proud of them, if that is the correct word.

I'm proud of them too, but sometimes they make me cry for other reasons. I'm okay now, she hugged me and all is better now. :rose:

It's not too much.
It's out there. It might not be a destination, but a journey you enjoy every day with someone you really want to be traveling with.
Don't settle for less.
I'm starting to believe in it. I hope someone will come along and make you believe the impossible. :rose:

Oh oh.

I know what you mean though. I hope whoever it is doesn't let you slip through the cracks like I let my girl. I could have gotten married, I could have had that life, but I threw it away because I got scared. Now I kick myself everyday for losing her.

*hugs* to you. :rose:

I did not fuck up.

Got everything printed, initialed where I was supposed to, signed it, stapled it together, wrote out the address on the envelope legibly (A very difficult thing for me to do) took it to the post office and it's on the way.

I did not fuck up.

No, you're NOT asking too much, honey. I had that same wish 52 years ago, from the male standpoint, and here we are today, still going strong, and never having had a serious argument. And we share all the houshold duties. We think so much alike now, sometimes we don't even have to speak our thoughts to each other.
