I vaguely remember what it was like to not have to... I think it was heavenly. ;)

It is.

Also

having a sex partner who outweighs you by 70 pounds can be very hard on your body. That's all I'm sayin'.

I don't despise my SO, but sometimes, I find it's a lot like being a single mother, only with snoring, criticism, jealousy and extra messes to clean up.

Gawd, this is SO true.

Urgh, time to go chop down and decorate a tree.
Poor tree......

My little three foot plastic one with the fiberoptic lights has made it three years now.... I figure that's three trees lives I've saved.....

we go to the tree farm down the road, which plants gobs of trees every year, so it's not like chopping down a redwood, lol.

Roger that.

Everyone, chill out and stop feeling guilty, or trying to make others feel guilty, about enjoying the bounty of nature, and the good things we can produce. There a nice little industry called Christmas tree farming that is fully sustainable and doesn't hurt anything or anybody. Guess what - it wouldn't exist if they didn't plant one for every one that gets chopped.

PS. I'm not criticising you, Tex, but just the knee-jerk reaction that we're all trained to have now against anything that looks like "consumption." Guess what, folks: To live is to consume. Make your choice, then relax and enjoy it.

"I'm sorry my little joke wasn't understood earlier.......

Man, it's a tough crowd around here at times.....

*hugs* I knew you were just kidding.

environmental issues aside, rest assured that you're about $150 richer with your fiber optic tree. :D

one word: Marvin's. :D

They sell trees every year for under $20....nice ones, too.

What makes you think you can pronounce judgements on what it's like from the outside? You don't even have the proper knowledge. You have no idea, believe me. Come here, look at it from where I'm standing, look at it from the inside out, and then tell me the same things you've been saying.

Grrrr...

omg...why the fuck do the authors of one of my most important research citations have to be from the University of Calgary...?

WHY!?!!?!!?!...

Sorry about getting all santimonius above. I knew you were kidding too, Tx, it's not your style to wag fingers in faces. (Unlike moi, as above.)

Apparently, I'm going to learn how to make soap & incense ... since I just spent over $100 on supplies, oils, molds, etc.

Its not the soap and incense, it the other persons hand that washes your back. It is that other persons sigh when they drink up your special scent. It is the feel of their lips on various parts of your body.
