Isolated Blurt Thread

My little one just tried to burn the house down by "warming" his chocolate chip cookies in the microwave for 17 mintues. Now the house smells like scorched chocolate. Those cookies were nothing but blackened discs. Luckily, he was watching them and saw the smoke and turned the microwave off and then came running to tell me he'd tried to cook his cookies for 17 minutes and burned them. It's a wonder I didn't smell the smoke. He wasn't even supposed to be using the microwave. Kids... geez. :rolleyes:
 
I almost burnt my house down as a kid too. I was trying to help my mom with the couch, and put one of the cushions over the fireplace. I came back and there was a black hole in the middle, so I took the cushion and put it back on the sofa to hide it. I thought I'd gotten away with it for years after that.
 
Eep, Crim. At least he had the wherewithall to shut the microwave off and tell you what happened. :rose: Glad everything's ok now.

Yep. Not bad for a five year old. Not sure how many would have thought to shut the microwave off before getting mommy. Hopefully, it scared him enough to teach him not to touch it again (at least for awhile, lol.) He just figured because his sissy could do it, then it must be okay for him to do it too, lol.

There are lots of bugs in here. We pretty much co-exist peacefully, but I don't like the CRICKETS!!
