When we got home there was a bunny hopping in the street...and three cats looking very interested. The bunny was too rotund and sedate to be wild...plus it was not noticing it's stalkers. I walked over and it let me pet it...this is a 'lil over an hour ago, almost midnight. I can not go knocking on doors to tell the neighberhood about a lost bunny at this time. Nor could I leave him/her to be harrassed, injured or even killed by the cats...

So now there is a bunny in the downstairs bathroom.

my daughter will be thrilled....

Got up to feed the ducks in the backyard this rainy morning.

A few months ago a duck decided to make her nest in the bushes of my front yard and I uninspiringly named her Daisy. She had 8 eggs in all and 6 of them hatched. She disappeared from her nest after the babies were born but Daisy usually brings her ducklings to the creek in my backyard once or twice a day. The ducklings are getting big but sadly I have watched them dwindle from 6 to 5 to now 4 (turtles around her like to eat little ducks!).

I saw a new mama duck in the yard today with 7 tiny babies trailing, hope the turtles don't find them.

Aw, Bel. What a sweetheart!

Bel, make sure you move everything that can be nibbled on out of the bunny's reach.

If you keep him, get a cage and make sure someone watches him when he's out of it.

Otherwise he'll nibble on everything. Phone cords will be the most annoying and electrical cords the most dangerous. If you can't move a cord out of the way, cover it in duct tape. Mine wouldn't chew through that.

My bunny nibbled on a lot of the wrong things, and I didn't stop him. I think that's what did him in. He nibbled on something that cut him up inside. :( I was too irresponsible, inexperienced and poor to keep a bunny.
