What did the police say - what are the options?

They need his statement, which they'll be getting in about an hour when he gets back. And then, we'll see. The problem is- she's already made many many threats against him, including calling the cops on him. And I have no idea what she'll say about/against him if the police talk to her. So while I'm protecting my kids, I'm also opening a potentially huge problem up, too. She's incredibly unstable and has people who think well of her and badly of my ex.
The best I can do right now is lock my doors and keep my phone nearby at all times.

And start packing.
