I'm pulling a Fool here...

I wear all black, despite the heat
It adds to my exotic mystique.
People watch me walk down the street
Staring from my head down to my feet.

"What the fuck is this?" I think to myself,
As they watch me move, looking scared as hell
Their eyes wide as I pass them by,
Faces of small children, ready to cry.

There's no need to fear me, little ones.
I won't hurt you in any way.
If anyone has to be afraid, it'll be my child
That I'll bear if I decide to stay.

Moms look at me with narrowed eyes,
Old ladies clutch their purses to their sides.
Sudden click of a car door lock, hey guys!
I couldn't give less of a shit about your ride.

Is this the kind of place to raise my kid in?
Ten good people for every asshole, but goddamn!
What is this place? Why do I have to face
The same shit each time I walk out the door?

Still, I can't wait to see what else is in store.

Looking at bed frames.......

That's gorgeous, but not what I wanted.

Oh, eww, waaay too many curly spiral things.

Wow, that might just be it. And it would work really well with handcuffs.
[/internal monalogue]

I think I have a slightly one track mind.
*chuckle*

I have to share this.. I'm a furniture salesman, and currently on display I have a huge four poster bed.. all the women stop and admire it, the guys take one look and nudge each other and whisper about how it would get them laid (I have sharp hearing).. there's been numerous comments about handcuffs/tieing made about it..

I had one couple, in their mid fourties discussing how they'd love a bed like that.. it wouldn't 'move around on them' they said.. I politely excused myself to go in the back and laugh :p

Really, that's the most improtant feature when looking for bed frames.

We know. ;)

Nah, it's where it'll fit in the apartment, next is attatchability. ;)
Love you duckie.

Tol - lmao.....They do make beds specifically for those situations. Hooks and such that can be kept out of sight but are very well attached (read permanent). ;)

What got me was that it was totally out of the blue, hadn't thought about it before all the times I was thinking about bed frames.

Well, some beds just give that image :) I've seen a lot of beds :D Usually the ones that make people think about things like that are wood/metal hybrids, a sturdy looking headboard with spots to put the cuffs :)

I'm a wood or metal girl, no hybrids please. I have a metal one in mind and the metal ones happen to include the accompaning thoughts. :p

I have a huge wooden headboard myself.. no spot for handcuffs though.. but it does have a really nice mirror

The reason I stated wood/metal is that they usually look sturdier, so it can inspire thoughts ;)

She pulled a fool up a few posts

Sorry Aurora, I must confess I didn't read it. I'm not in a very poetic mood at the moment.

Home is not a place. It is not within these walls or within any walls. I take it with me wherever I go.

So why is it still so hard to leave?

Packing. You always want to take stuff you don't have room for.

I think it's the fact that I love the colors of the walls - I picked out all the paint myself....

take a chip with you. Paint can be remixed. Life is a little less simple.

And one more makes five...where once there were 105.

But words are meaningless. Scent in the wind that carries and disperses. Lost to all not immediate. And I've shared with her my immediacy, my need and my immediate need. For which she offers smiles and paradoxes. I need no more paradoxes to confuse me. My life is a paradox sprinkled with metaphors mixed with regurgitated words splattered on the walls and in the corners.

I guess that's as good a word as any.

do I have to name you to form a shape?
to find a form that answers to my beckoned call?
offer me the slightest touch
offer me a sense of knowing
that your silhouette has shape
and form
and a shapely form that I can touch
into reality.
lips to sunder with a kiss. Arms
that wrap and twine with mine.
as my hands shape that curves
that shape you
