Isolated Blurt Thread

I moderate a gaming forum. It has been nearly dead for the past couple of years, so all that I usually have to do is ban and delete the occasional advertiser and his posts. Everyone there appears to be fine with this.

A couple of days ago we got a new member that has posted dozens of topics. Half of them have been legitimate attempts to start a conversation. A quarter of them have been quite spammy. The last quarter were spam and I had to warn him of a possible ban on one topic.

His replies follow a similar pattern, but more on the spammy side than legitimate conversation.

Everyone but me apparently wants him banned. They appear to be afraid of actual activity on their little dead forums. Someone retaliated by posting his own spam, posting a pic that said N-GAGE every time the new member posted. I threatened to ban him for spamming, and he got upset thinking that the new member was worse than him.

It's amazing how childish some people can be. (it is a gaming site, but most of the current members have been there for five or more years and are in their 20s or 30s).

Seventy years ago today Britain went to war against Germany.

Poland was the last straw. Even though the Allies eventually won the war in Europe, Poland wasn't free for nearly fifty years.

Soviet Russia also invaded Poland. Eventually Soviet Russia lost more people in World War 2 than anyone. Without them, Germany would not have been defeated.

Today I remember all those who died to free Europe.

As I was driving to work this morning, I saw a momma bear and her two or three cubs hiding in the grass, watching traffic, wanting to cross the street I guess.
