Went to the Art show with my little boy today. One exhibit had an acrylic of a Pig with wings. I was delighted and exclaimed to my child. "Oh look if pigs could fly!" Well the lady next to me was obese, she thought I was talking about her, she stormed off into the crowd.

No...things thawed out awhile ago. We just got several inches of rain in the last 24 hours though, and the fact that we have part of the yard dug out, all the way up to the back door so we can put in a new patio is a large part of why we've got water streaming in like this...I could go swimming out there!

No...things thawed out awhile ago. Streaming water now stopped. The pool has been drained.

I dug a drainage trench out of the "pit" to accomodate the excessive amounts of water.... there is now no danger of Kat or I walking into a flooded basement cased by that particular problem.

ETA: I'm not going back to work though.

I took night time cough syrup last night for the first time in almost 20 years. I can't say that it made me more sleepy, but when I fell asleep, I was OUT.

It is over 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the office today. I need the air conditioner fixed, NOW!!! Having the windows wide open and the lights off just isn't cutting it.

Oh, and only one out of four fluorescent lights is working (two blink annoyingly, one is burned out completely), so I was keeping them turned off anyway
