Thanks guys, I'm just having a bad night is all though it is getting better. It also doesn't help that I feel lonely, no hubby here or at the office to keep me company and my best friend didn't show up online tonight...*sighs*

Not a problem. *HUGS*

*hugs back*

Maybe I can get my story done, though which Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack do I listen to in order to get motivated? lol

OK, so I thought I'd share this with you guys. A little while ago we were getting ready for second period band at the junior high I volunteer at. The kids were busy warming up and we were about to start when one of the kids from 1st period (Let's call him J) comes running in crying his eyes out. He was crying so much that he was coughing up a lung, and even started to dry heave. Everyone in second period felt really bad and are like "Are you OK?" and trying to comfort them. I was really very proud of them. Anyways, our director finally had this kid (a sixth grader) wait outside and left to deal with it, so I took over the class and warmed the kids up.

After class I asked what was going on, though I had an idea what it was. Turns out this kid was all upset because another sixth grader from 1st period band (I'll dub him G) stole his video game and then handed it off to one of his friends. Fortunately my director sorted things out and I'm pretty sure J got his game back. The sad thing is that J is constantly being picked on and harassed by the other kids. Thursday this kid P took his backpack and hid it in one of the cabinets after class. My director and I both believe that J has some sort of mental disability, although he's never been tested. You can just see in his eyes that he's not entirely there. I just hate that the kids make fun of him and torment him for something he has no control over. Fortunately there are some good kids who don't get into all of that, but he doesn't have anyone to defend him either. I do my best, but I only see him 45 minutes out of the day.

*sigh*

I'll put on my Team Rocket outfit. ;)
Hee hee. :D

Prepare for trouble!
Make it double!
To protect the world from devastation
To unite all peoples within our nation
To denounce the evils of truth and love
To extend our reach to the stars above
Jesse
James
Team Rocket blast off at the speed of life
Surrender now or prepare to fight!
Meowth, that's right

*then you add whatever Pokemon might be out at the time, depending on the season*

Wobba wobba
Chime chime
etc.

ETA: lol, like a minute after I posted that the Team Rocket song came on. :p

Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!

I love old school Team Rocket, but I hate the way they're done now.

That was me growing up, Trom. At least you care enough to try.

Most of my teachers couldn't have been bothered to help. With a fair number of the belief that I either deserved it for being different, that that sort of treatment would 'toughen me up', or both.

I hated school.

*hugs and hugs to the kid Trom mentioned*

Believe it or not when I was a kid I was picked on incredibly, so much so that during recess I hung out with the teacher that was on recess duty. It started in kindergarden for me and didn't really end. Yeah I had more friends in high school when I said I basically don't give a crap what people thought of me, but even then it didn't end until my senior year when I finally stood up to one of them in the middle of gym class.
