I saw this photo on CNN, of all places. I couldn't resist. It reminds me too much of myself at times. Edited Bit: You know, looking through life behind a piece of glass, licking the glass, wanting out, wanting to taste it all, but still feeling trapped behind the glass.

A couch, two end tables, coffee table, swivel rocker and ottoman, and armchair and ottoman in white rattan - she covered the cushions herself in a gorgeous flower print canvas a year or so ago, and they had it refinished two years ago. It will be perfect for the dream house we don't have yet, but are still working on buying.

Who the hell besides my mother gets rattan furniture refinished????

P.S. Your mother reminds me of my mother. She "saved" an old metal cabinet from an old school they were tearing down. It's got tons of little drawers, with a place up front to place a label. She thought it would be a great way to organize my crafting supplies.

The dream house has a sunroom with a hardwood floor. It'll be perfect. Now that I have the furniture, it's only logical that I'll get the house, yes?
