isn't abortion an "elective" surgery?

It is not considered to be elective. If the surgery is not performed, and the sooner the better, there will be life-changing results. Maybe even life-ending, but that is rare in this day and age.

Happy Troll Cookies
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 (6-oz.) pkg. (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup candy-coated chocolate pieces
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, beat brown sugar, sugar, margarine, peanut butter, vanilla and egg until light and fluffy. Add rolled oats; mix well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour and baking soda; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips, candy pieces and walnuts; mix well. Shape generous 1/3 cup dough at a time into a ball (or use number 12 ice cream scoop). Place 6 cookies on each greased cookie sheet; flatten slightly.
2 Bake at 350°F. for 10 to 15 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 2 to 3 minutes; remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely.
