Islamic Fascism

A term apparently coined in a speech given by the President of the United States on Thursday October 6th, 2005, identified, finally and formally, the essence of the war of terror that is now raging world wide.

The anti-war leftists have long questioned the reason and motive for the US and Coalition forces making a pre-emptive strike on Iraq and Saddam Hussein. The pre-determined rationale was to take the war on terror to the heart of the middle-east and forge a base of operations in both Afghanistan and Iraq, to counter building cooperation between other Islamic States who have vowed a religious war, a Jihad, on western society.

It is a plan and a move that history will look upon as an example of American and British courage and foresight at the outset of what will become the third global war of modern times.

One needs to consider the history of Europe and the Middle East over the past century or so to gain a proper perspective.

As the United States entered World War One in 1916, Russia was on the verge of revolution. Following the War, which ended in 1918, Europe was largely in ruins and in dire straights economically. The Treaty of Versailles, German reparations and French occupation of traditionally German land, set the stage for a recession and eventually a deep resentment by the German people.

During the 1920’s as the Western World was about to slip into the great depression, both the Soviet Communists and the German Fascists began making plans to regain lost territory and renew national pride and integrity.

Many informed statesmen and historians predicted World War two, long before it began, a Japan and China went to war during the 30’s and European influence in Asia was being challenged.

There were not just a who recommended to the leaders of the United States and Great Britain, that pre-emptive measures should be taken to restrain Germany and the Soviet Union and the Japanese empire.

There was at that time, a lack of will to consider those options. There was also international Communism, probing in all directions and Nazi sympathizers in many countries, in Northern Africa and in South America.

Add to that a wide spread, ‘America First’ movement, a pacifist movement and the formation of the American Communist Party which acted to keep the United States from considering any action to prevent German, Soviet or Japanese expansion.

It is doubtful that World War One could have been stopped by diplomatic means as the dissention had been building for many years. There were those who knew that the seeds for World War Two were being planted even before the ink was dry on the treaties that ended the conflict.

The mood of the international community and the unstable balance of power between the United States, Great Britain, Germany, the Soviet Union, Japan and China, although efforts were made, was not amenable to finding a means of stopping the advent of the Second World war.

At the end of World War Two, with a hundred million casualties, there were those who knew and forecasted the rise of the Soviet Union to super power status. There were serious plans but forward by Winston Churchill in England, General George Patton and others in the United States, to implement a pre-emptive move against the Soviet Union, using nuclear weapons if necessary.

But America was tired of war and still recovering from a depression and Europe was devastated. The Berlin Airlift is a moment of shining history as the Soviet Union was thwarted in its attempt to over-run the area completely.

The United Nations allowed the creation of the state of Israel and the United States was the first member nation to confirm its status. Although Israel is not the key to middle eastern conflict, it does play a major role. Many middle eastern nations had previously been taken by British, French, Italian, and German occupation and the Soviet Union had a consuming interest in the oil fields of Iran and Turkey. Thus the stage was set for early conflict, following World War Two, in the Middle East.

Jump forward to 1950 and the Soviet supported North Korean invasion of South Korea; and keep in consideration the influence of Japanese invasions during the 30’s and growing Chinese pressure on the Korean peninsula.

Not long after that, with the fall of the French in Indochina at Dien Bien Phu, the stage was again set for the conflict in Vietnam.

Even today, 30 years after the Vietnam war and 55 years after the Korean war, left wingers, anti war pacifists do not acknowledge that the United States and the United Nations took ‘pre-emptive’ action to contain Communist expansion in Asia. By doing so, the Soviet Union was eventually weakened and fell to internal corruption.

In the 1960’s oil was selling for $10.00 a barrel and gasoline could be purchased, in the United States, for .30 cents a gallon.

Middle Eastern nations with little international export production, slowly became, with petroleum products, a major force in the financial world.

Only about 15 percent of Germans were Nazi’s; about the same percentage of the Russian people were in the Communist party. Perhaps about the same percentage in the middle east are radical terrorists.

But as with the Nazis and the Communists, they control the destiny of nations and of an entire region.

Islamo Fascists have committed terrorist acts in the United States, in Indonesia, in Spain and in Great Britain, along with a dozen other countries with embassies and military bases and US personnel.

I did no research on this, just off the top of my head as a general, thumbnail sketch, very brief of historical events, conclusions and speculations I have read, heard and considered.

I do so, not for the rabid leftists, the pacifist, anti-war folks that just criticize, but for those of you who might like a better understanding of current events.

You can of course, search each assertion I have made or implied, there are thousands of sources.

But when you listen to the onslaught of anti war propaganda, which is only going to increase, consider that the United States and Great Britain, with protest from all sides, are doing the brave and courageous act of confronting terror, oppression and fascism, which is a credit to all concerned and will, eventually, with great cost, bring peace and security to a larger part of the world than ever before.

Before the sob sisters venture forth with tears and pathos; yes, the tragic lives of women and children in Iraq and Afghanistan is horrible. It was horrible in the graveyard that was the Soviet Union and the holocaust of the Nazis and the death camps of the Japanese.

There is no doubt in my mind that an Islamo Fascist would use chemical, biological and nuclear weapons on any major western city if they had the opportunity to do so. Islamic Radicals control the middle east and like Nazis and Communists, must be stopped before millions suffer.

We lost nearly 3,000 in New York City, we may lose more, in other cities and not to hurricanes, but it will not be because we did not have the courage to seek out the enemy before he can attack.

And I personally don’t give a rat’s ass if you approve or not.

By the way…all the thoughts above are not just mine only, I have heard and read the same thing in a hundred places…places I am sure you do not follow.

It’s a damned shame…I have fiction to write…but my mind is on politics, ma fookin muse switched horses on me….I think I will do Harriet Mier and the Supreme Court next, put me on ignore….
