I have had lots of women tell me that their best friend is a guy.

What makes men attractive as best friends for women?

Guys, do you have a girl that is just your friend that you confide in? Talk things over with?

If you are in a relationship, how does your partner feel about you having someone seperate from them as a best friend??

I have 2 people I consider my best friends...they are both guys! But being a nurse i work with 90% women. ( I am not complaining), so I have many ladies that are good friends as well!

Good morning, c :)

You don't find yourself talking to one or two ladies in particular about things in general?

in my r/l ...

i have three best friends <besides my b/f who is also a best friend btw but doesn't count in this instance> ... friends who would do anything for me and me for them ....

two are male <straight> and they both know about my internet persona and are totally cool with it ...

one is female - and she freaked out when i told her about my internet life - so even though she knows about it, i don't talk about it with her.

so i confide to my male friends more about personal stuff - like sex ... is that weird?

who makes the best best friend - male or female? i don't think the sex matters really - as long as you are on the same wave length (about most things anyways) ... and as long as you have respect and love for each other. :)

99% of my friends are female....and my best friend is a female. I just get along with women better than I do with men.

I have best friends on both sides m/f but in high school the girls always saved a seat at there table for me i would listen to them i heard plenty I guess i was there big brother in a way they would ask me for my opinion and i would tell them that is why a jock was mad at me.

my best friend is a woman. she holds my soul in safe keeping, wether it be for her once more or until someone else comes along. she knows everything about me. all the deep dark secrets that i've had time to tell her. the worst i told first, and not once has she judged me nor stopped caring for me. she came into my life at just the right time; she saved me from myself. without her i would almost certainly be dead by my own hand, and still she is embarassed when i give her even the smallest of gifts. circumstances have dictated that we cannot be together as we'd like, but i'll be damned if i ever let our friendship go without a fight.

so here's to friendship, a toast given by a hopeless romantic whose head is filled with unlivable dreams of fantasy, of swords and dragons and true love that never fades.

Oooops ...

i almost forgot this quote ...

"If your friends won't go down on you, then who will?"

~Miranda on Sex and the City~

LOL Isabella, that is funny, but actually holds some merit:) Canada rocks btw!:p

I know of a few people that consider me their best friend, but I don't feel anyone is my "best friend." People just cling to me when they have problems and I help them through their times of need, then they seem to get busy with life again and never bother to call, write, or stop by for a visit. I make a few attempts to reach out and keep things going, but I couldn't classify my relationships as anything closer than a normal friend. I've been close to guys and girls, the difference is minimal. Things always work out the same in the end.

My best friends are female. I seem to develop
closer relationships with women than I do with men. Not just physical, but emotional as well.

I'm an Aires. Very loyal to friends, likes challenges and excitement, a bit headstrong and narrowsighted at times, and not impressed by the weak willed. I find it difficult to put my burdens on friends, and always try to carry the loads of others.

Hmmm, those are piscean traits....interesting. Ah well....thnx for the reply

I got bored so I looked up the traits of the two signs:

Pices:
Qualities: Intuitive, emotional, imaginative, flaky, EXTREMELY MOODY, mystical, changeable, romantic, kind, adaptable & they think they know everything.

Aires:
Qualities [both good & "stuff to work on"]: Energetic, active, optimistic, always open to changes & new ideas, courageous, talkative, vibrant, selfish tendencies, HOT TEMPERED/moody, Independent & a good leader.

I could see some of myself in the Pices group, but I'm really more of an Aires.

Not sure where you got the info from, but it's far from accurate....I am deeply into astrology and am a Pisces myself:) That doesn't describe me:p

I just went to a random website. I don't really know a lot about astrology, but the aires description is pretty much what I've seen before. I've never really looked into any other signs besides my own.

Best in both sexes.

My husband is one of my best friends. I also have a woman who is my best friend.

My best friends are people who I can count on in all ways. No qualifiers.

My best friend is a man. I tell him much more than I have ever told another woman about myself.

my best freind is a guy. me and him grew up together since we were babys.

as for the rest of my friends yah i'd say 2/3rds of my friends are female. I get along with them better, most guys just make fun of me when I open my mouth

People let me tell you 'bout my best friend ...

i would like to say one more thing please ...

i remember when i was growing up ... in my teenage years ... my mother would ridicule my friends telling me that friends come and go, but family is forever ....

well, what a load of bullshit ...

where is my family now? they have all deserted me ... :(

my friends are here by side - they never left - they are the ones who believe in me.

I agree, I have friends who are much more loving and understanding of me than family members are.
