Is Yahoo chat still just as bad?

I wonder if I should download yahoo messenger and try the chat rooms again. I used to go there but got driven away by chat bots and people PMing me and not being able to say anything but "ASL?"

Is it still like that?

I thought they would have finally added an option to simply block PMs with links in them. Does that not make sense to anyone else but me?

I find chat rooms better than dating sites at meeting people. I met a few good people but a long time ago.

Well, who am I to speak anyway.

I think I visited a chatroom about three times in my life, and that was because I was on my sister's computer and she had logged onto one. I had my preconceptions about the whole thing and for a minute or so I thought I had been wrong. The "conversation" we were having seemed to actually go somewhere. It took another minute or so after that thought, when 'the other side' just out of the blue asked if I liked to give blowjobs.

Now.... I like giving blowjobs and I don't even mind talking about it, but not like that with a total stranger just because he (or she - who ever knows anyway) wants te be turned on?!

The whole chatroom-thing is just not for me. Dating sites are not either, by the way. Can't you find nice people to talk to who you have some sort of basis with; from work, a sport, Lit or whatever?

I think the lit forum is a far better way to meet people for decent conversation.

You could, if you wanted, try the literotica chatroom. Out of curiousity, I went in there once, and after insisting multiple times that I was not interested in cyber sex (I went into a small room, with just a few people), they all turned out to be fairly nice.

I think you can choose to not show hotlinks; in the opions you open once you're in a chatroom. You can Ignore people too; but yahoo is much the same, if not worse. the new cyber generation.

yahoo really stinks now. It is always messing up. There is no user chat rooms anymore. Bots rule the cyber space

I only use the messenger side of it...have never ever bothered with the chat rooms.....

Lit chat is ocasionally interesting but haven't been there for a while...

The chatrooms are now for the most part overrun by bots. Unless you've got ytunnel you'll be bombarded by bot ims. in the chatrooms. mostly you have cliques. I f you don't fit in with a certain group you're either cussed out or ignored. I'd say it's basically the same
