Is Troll bashing becoming an art form?

I have been troll bashing for quite some time now and enjoy the interaction and feedback I get. Does anyone else feel the enjoyment I do at inciting the troll masses and seeing them respond? I'd like others to post there thoughts on their favourite way to Troll Bash and see if there is truly a new writing art form in live interactive writing:cool:

Learn to love your trolls, Lance. They make you popular with the other writers :)

Not really. If I don't just ignore them--and just erase their comments when possible--I feel they are getting what they want. Spending time on them is just a waste of my time.

Don't get me wrong, I love the trolls. They are quite useful in getting attention to a story and a writer in general. What I was asking was if anyone else enjoyed seeing them grunt when they got bashed by them and then see if they had an intersting way of dealing with them. I've just had a delightful day being Bugs Bunny and infuriating the Elmer Fudds. I even posted a short story in feedback for them. HIV was the Troll King.

How can you see them grunt? They're pretty much invisible, aren't they. And what else could you be doing all that time you spent bashing back at them? And you don't think they enjoyed the attention?

The only evidence I've seen that I could make them mad has been when I've erased one of their comments and they've screamed and hollared about that in a followup comment. When I promptly erase that one too, I'm smiling.

I see them grunt when they write, SR. I have spent too much deleting comments and doing nothing about it. I have gone on tirades and attacked them personally. Now I find humour in it and enjoy watching them fall away with nothing left to say. I even left poor Harry tongue tied and nothing to rebut with. I just thought if more writers who are frustrated and attack trolls as I did, find that a different approach to dealing with them is more satisfying, what's the harm?

Spend your time and energy as you wish.

It seems that my current round of troll bashing has resulted in a cessation of their presence. I have been obseving the comments today and the only bashing was done against me. The comments have been of a positive and contructive tone. Whether other writers/readers liked or disliked the lengthy time it took and the number of comments left, the result is that everyone seems to be playing nice. Even Harry hasn't reared his head since I threatened him earlier on today. One of his supporters, PhilipinSoCal, sent me a PM saying he suffers from dyslexia and has problems writing, to which I said I would use it against him. He asked, would I make fun of a man with a limp? I said I would, if Harry kept acting like a legless man leading a parade. I even wrote a short story called the Mindless Army vs. the Words in Sci fi/ fantasy. Should be out soon. Hope harry likes it.
