Is throwing MM bisexual stuff into a series too risky?

Using FF and MM tags in the same series is risky because there are far more people that like one but not the other than like both. However, for those that like both, it might be harder to find it and so you'd get some really appreciative readers. Essentially, write what you want to read and the readers will come.

But isn't this ambiguous? Or doesn't it matter? If it's a bunch of frat guys having fun with the same woman, it's one thing. If it's a threesome with the two men having sex with each other, it's quite another. True?
My point is, they don't even go into the story to find out.

Very good feedback!

I think I may just make sure I tag correctly and include hints in the summary. Everything I've posted so far has been obviously SF/F, and I don't see that changing, so I'm probably not going to toy with categories. Heck, using SF/F already starts me at a deficit of readers, anyway, so I guess I'm kind of contrarian.

For those asking about whether this is about an existing series: no. I've posted 3 stories, but I've written a lot more than that. I have a large number of first drafts around, but no series. I was just thinking about the future, and considering future chapters would influence how I write the beginning. Maybe it's best to include some MM stuff in the first or second chapter of a series if you're going to have it later on.

BDSM, when the action is clearly hostile. I don't think "hostile" is exactly right, but I can't think of a more nuanced word.
You're talking about power exchange and sadism, maybe? I certainly know men who would never engage in fluid exchange with another man who would be tied up and flogged by one any day of the week.
