Fascism is a radical authoritarian nationalist ideology focused on solving economic, political, and social problems that its supporters see as causing national decline or decadence. Fascists aim to create a single-party state in which the government is led by a dictator who seeks unity by requiring individuals to subordinate self-interest to the collective interest of the nation or a race.[6][7][8] Fascist movements promote violence between nations, political factions, and races as part of social Darwinist and militarist views that violence between these groups is natural and a part of evolution and a perpetual conflict.[9] In the view that violence is a natural part of survival, fascists believe only the strong can and should survive by being healthy, vital, and aggressive through conquering and eliminating the weak and the degenerate.[10][11][12]

Fascist governments permanently forbid and suppress all criticism and opposition to the government and the fascist movement. Fascist movements oppose any ideology or political system that gives direct political power to people as individuals rather than as a collective nation or race (democracy, individualism, liberalism); that is deemed detrimental to national identity and unity (internationalism, communism, class conflict, laissez-faire capitalism); that protects and enhances the power of the "weak" and the degenerate rather than promoting the power of the "strong" (egalitarianism); that may oppose major changes to institutions and cultural values that it proposes (conservatism) and that undermine the military strength and military ambitions of the nation (pacifism)

Where have you been the past 8 years?

The world is on the brink of true Armegeddon, again. Dwindling fossil fuel resources.

This time they want to do it right...true mass population cull.

Not so. Not at all nor in the least. Democracy is all about power to the people collectively. That is, not as individuals.

Constitutional government and the rule of law protect the individual -- but are not essentially democratic, as James Madison and Alexander Hamilton well knew.

"Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard."

-- H.L. Mencken

Socialism is very definitely a more democratic ideology than libertarianism.

Whether socialism or libertarianism has otherwise the benefit of that comparison is very highly debatable.

Fascism is no good without a way to monitor citizen activity. Fortunately, the Patriot Act really helped get the party started.

What's in a name...?

Either you believe business is best conducted by individuals under objective law and functional courts or you don't trust the individual, believe in subjective law, and believe courts (or government) are there to right wrongs.

You can call it want you want, but Obama is FIRMLY in the camp of the latter.

We see where KO stands; firmly in the corner of the soviet/commune. ;) ;)
