One would think that with bruising that bad, there would be swelling of the surrounding area. I don't see any swelling. The surrounding area looks normal to me, without any pinkness or pale red around the edges to indicate less damaged tissue.

Well, I have been having my doubts too MsW. The more I look at it the more "odd" it appears to me. I'm not an expert on bruises either, even though I've had my fair share growing up. In fact, I almost never bruise now. I can't remember the last bruise I had.

I does seem too perfectly round. I'm wondering if this wasn't the mixed work of a paddle and a cane and possibly something else. Or if it's isn't just some paint...



The real question should be... how do ya cover something like this up? LOL. Assuming it was on a different body part.

i have used a prouct called Dermablend, it specially made to cover scars and burns. It could be used to cover bruises up. You can get it at the cosmetic counter of a department store.

I would have to agree with it not seeming real. I have seen some very bad injuries before, this one looks made up. If it would happen to be real, I feel personaly that it went beyond. As a Dom, I am very carefuly how things I do effect My gems every day life. Somthing that seroius would interfere quite abit.

I've looked at this pic several times since some of you think it might be a fake. It could be real. I've seen this sort of bruising before. If the person is on blood thinner medications or has a clotting/or bleeding disorder, you could get this type of effect fairly easily. And in such instances, the bruising tends to spread away from the point of impact (such as into the crack). Just a thought.

At any rate, it looks extremely painful to me. (not in a good way)

I doubt that it's real. There aren't enough lines, breaks, areas of light and dark, fading zones--so it would all have to be done in the same session. Who could withstand that all in one go? And it's SO dark, yet there's no apparent swelling. It just doesn't look like any bruise I've ever seen, not in any context, BDSM or otherwise.

But if it is real, it's dangerous. Bruises that are still black by the time they surface, in an area as heavily padded as the buttocks, are doing deep-tissue damage. That's way beyond play, in my book. That's well into abuse.

Of course, that's just me.
