I think getting your face tattooed is a really bad idea. I love tattoos and on a purely aesthetic level, face tattoos can be fascinating. But whereas face decorations are appreciated in some cultures, I don't think it is generally liked in the US.

I'm sure it can look really badass, but that also raises the badass bar, which you may be challenged to prove. The fact that you apologised as nicely as you did indicates that you're not nearly as badass as you would probably need to be in order to live with that for the rest of your life.
