Is there a hairdresser/stylist in the house?

I need a new stylist, and am having trouble finding one in my area that isn't a butcher (a little tired of asking for a trim, and getting 5cm hacked off!)
Plus, it's time for a restyle.
My hair is all fucked up.... extremely fine and difficult to work with.
I need a list of questions to ask a potential new stylist, so I know I'm not going to get a shocking cut or a wierdo style.
So, do we have any hairdressers here?

just because they pluck their pubes does not mean they are hair stylists.

This is actually a serious thread. I am so fed up with my hair, I am this ---><--- close to walking into the barber shop and asking for a #2 buzz cut :(

I was actually going to be a smart ass and recommend that. From the bits I have seen, I think you have a body that will distract from most everyone from noticing a bad hair day.

As I lay here with my green sponge rolled head. This is comfortable! Hahahahahaha!

I finally got rid of the pink ones.

Seriously. I am a fan of rollers: hot rollers, sponge rollers, or rags.

I haven't used rollers since the 80's.

I love the big pink Velcro ones. They really do give bounce and movement. Neat stuff.

Also, Grease is the word.

I have tried almost every kind of roller out there, but my super-fine hair is so damn smooth that they all just slide out, no matter what type they are.
I have issues with hairclips too..... Unless I soak them in hairspray to the point of complete saturation, and then dry them in place with a hairdryer, they last about 5 minutes before they start to slide out.

I should get my hair cut too. It's long and heavy now. I have no style. It's all one length. This is why I use rollers.

I have always set my hair with rollers unless I put it in braids on the top of my head or wear the hideous pony-bun.

The velcro rollers don't work because my hair won't set unless I sleep with them or use hot rollers.
