Is The Draft Coming Back?

I figured that being a 60 year old heart attack survivor might be enough to get me out.
You'd tell them anything in order to get out, while calling for others to go die in your place. Chickenhawk.

The Karma train is coming for American women...

Soon y'all are going to be joining us in fighting selective service! :D

Army and Marine Corps chiefs: It’s time for women to register for the draft

The top officers in the Army and Marine Corps testified on Tuesday that they believe it is time for women to register for future military drafts, following the Pentagon’s recent decision to open all jobs in combat units to female service members.

Gen. Mark A. Milley, chief of staff of the Army, and Gen. Robert B. Neller, the Marine Corps commandant, both said they were in favor of the change during an occasionally contentious Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on the full integration of women in the military. The generals, both infantry officers, offered their opinions in response to a question from Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), who said that she also is in favor of the change.

“Senator, I think that all eligible and qualified men and women should register for the draft,” said Milley, echoing the remarks of Neller.

Two House Republicans -- both opponents of opening up combat roles to women -- introduced a bill Thursday called "Draft America's Daughters Act of 2016," which would require women to register for the draft.

The bill was offered by Rep. Duncan Hunter, a Republican from California and former Marine, and co-sponsored by Rep. Ryan Zinke, a Republican from Montana and former Navy SEAL.

It would "amend the Military Selective Service Act to extend the registration and conscription requirements of the Selective Service System, currently applicable only to men between the ages of 18 and 26, to women between those ages to reflect the opening of combat arms Military Occupational Specialties to women," according to copy of the text.
LOL now the Republicans are in a panic because they can hear that karma train whistle in the distance.

Man, I love rubbing this shit in the faces of all you White Feathering GBers... you had this one coming. :D

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand now the Cato Institute is anti-war

I was ahead of my fucking time.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/post...aft-just-end-draft-registration-for-everyone/

Don’t make women register for the draft. Just end draft registration for everyone.

Our military is all-volunteer for a reason. Time to end the pretense that we still need Selective Service.

Top military brass made headlines this week when they called for expanding the Selective Service System — as close as we come, these days, to a draft registry — to include women. Gen. Mark A. Milley, the Army chief of staff, and Gen. Robert B. Neller, the Marine Corps commandant, both framed the issue as a matter of fairness: All eligible U.S. citizens should be included, Neller said, “Now that the restrictions that exempted women from [combat jobs] don’t exist.” But a better idea than requiring women to register is to do away with Selective Service altogether, for women and men.

America is actually going to military draft mothers away from their children? Wow. The hits just keep on coming.

All the more reason for women to join men in their fight against the draft.

Instead of the draft, they should call it National Service. Make a dent in youth unemployment and give them trade training. Volunteer pick your trade. Get 'drafted' slotted into infantry. Even grunts get some useful training, at least a sense of discipline. National service types could be exempt from overseas service. Lots of ways to make the draft an honourable, useful means of youth training.

How about offering a livable wage for those jobs and people will sign up without being forced.

Forced labor is forced labor. Comrade.

Earlier this year, a dramatic change was made to the nation’s military policies that opened nearly all combat roles to women. The next question to follow was, if women are eligible to participate in all combat roles, should selective service enrollment be made mandatory for women as well?

We are now one step closer to that becoming a reality.

The National Defense Authorization Act, headed for a House vote later this month, has attached to it an amendment titled “Draft America’s Daughters.” Some feminists are hailing it as a boon toward their cause, calling America’s history of the all-male draft discriminatory and the addition of women to selective service a huge leap for equality.

But being a feminist doesn't have to mean standing up for sending our daughters to war.

I am a feminist, and I do not support including women in selective service.

so, LT. lemme get this straight

something many feminists have been fighting for....

for over 30 years......

has finally happened

and you think this is some kind of victory over feminists?

really?

really?

and then you mock a feminist for... supporting something that you are on record multiple times agreeing with?

really?

really?

that sound you hear isn't a train.. it's the thud of your head as you land facefirst on the bandwagon that so many fought and pushed for to get to this point

ummm you do realize it's mostly been feminists groups fighting to end the draft for decades right?

of course you don't
The only group with an actual case active in court against the draft is the National Coalition for Men. Which feminist group has an active case in the Supreme Court to stop the draft?

Oh and didn't feminists used to shame men for not going to war? Kinda like the way you women did right here on this thread?

And I am mocking a feminist who says men should be drafted but not women. But your inability to comprehend that is typical for feminist lolgic.

No wonder you can't hear the karma train whistle - your head is too far up your ass to hear anything but your own farts.

so all the lawsuits from 1981 onwards mean nothing... because the MRA just recently jumped on the bandwagon?

the white feather thing again? remind me again .. in what capacity were women allowed to join the military at the time? and exactly how much political power did they have to change that?

quick answer...nope.. and none.... women wanted to fight, werent allowed to, werent allowed to vote so they could fight.. so they fought the only way they could, by shaming those who didnt have the balls to do the thing they were denied the basic right of

i love how you turn the oppression of a womans basic rights into misandry

And I am mocking a feminist who says men should be drafted but not women. But your inability to comprehend that is typical for feminist lolgic.

ummm she doesnt actually state men should be drafted.... she states women shouldnt be drafted

arent you the guy opposed to the draft in the first place.. shouldnt you be agreeing with her?

No wonder you can't hear the karma train whistle - your head is too far up your ass to hear anything but your own farts.

it's just the sound of the MRA jumping on the bandwagon.. and you're a hypocrite for being happy that women can be drafted while claiming to be opposed to the draft

ummm she doesnt actually state men should be drafted.... she states women shouldnt be drafted

Hahahahaha WHAT lawsuits?

Wait, are you equating not being able to put your life at risk on the battlefield, with being forced to? Hint: one puts your life in danger, one doesn't.

Except that men could only vote if they did fight. And even after women got the right to vote, they kept on white feathering during World War II, though to a lesser extent.

ummm she doesnt actually state men should be drafted.... she states women shouldnt be drafted
No mother, whether she has sons or daughters, ever wishes to send her child off to war. However, if I had sons, I could at least take comfort in knowing that our nation's young men are the most able-bodied people to take on this task and therefore most likely to return home to us safely.

In other words 'I don't care if they're drafted, just keep my daughters out of that.'

BUSTEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

arent you the guy opposed to the draft in the first place.. shouldnt you be agreeing with her?
She needs to reverse her stance and say NOBODY should be drafted.

it's just the sound of the MRA jumping on the bandwagon.. and you're a hypocrite for being happy that women can be drafted while claiming to be opposed to the draft
Nah, as I've been saying all along, this is a great opportunity for feminists to launch their own lawsuit to stop selective service.

Hahahahaha WHAT lawsuits?

Men weren't forced to , there was no draft in England. So I can easily equate with someone wanting to risk their lives and being denied, with one refusing to do so

please do some research next time

Except that men could only vote if they did fight.

That's Starship Troopers you're thinking of... men could vote if they fought or not, otherwise Members of Parliament wouldnt be allowed to vote in the House, as most of them had never been enlisted

please do some reasearch next time

And even after women got the right to vote, they kept on white feathering during World War II, though to a lesser extent.

Correction; women and men continued the white feather campaign in WW2 but as part of a pacificst movement opposed to war.. this ended with the Blitz

and the reason why it was in a much diminished role was that women could vote, and could serve in roles that were striclty not nursing

so in closing... women wanted to serve, couldn't serve, went to jail for wanting a voice

but the real victims were guys who got a bird part

congratulations, I didnt read everything she wrote so I will own up to being wrong

but since you allegedly oppose the draft. Period. You should support her not wanting her daughter drafted

Or does your opposition to the draft end at vaginas?

Nah, as I've been saying all along, this is a great opportunity for feminists to launch their own lawsuit to stop selective service.

they have.. but for the most part most feminists are worried about things that will actually affect them.. unlike the draft which hasnt been implemented in 40 years and would be political suicide for any administration to start one or try ending it

Feminists joined the fight after the male litigants started the lawsuits. But hey, that's a tad better than what they're doing now.

Men weren't forced to , there was no draft in England
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conscription_in_the_United_Kingdom
Conscription in the United Kingdom has existed for two periods in modern times. The first was from 1916 to 1920, the second was from 1939 to 1960

You just love being hilariously wrong, don't you.

That's Starship Troopers you're thinking of... men could vote if they fought or not, otherwise Members of Parliament wouldnt be allowed to vote in the House, as most of them had never been enlisted
Ah that was in America, not England. If you don't sign up for Selective Service you can be thrown in prison (and lose your voting rights).

Correction; women and men continued the white feather campaign in WW2 but as part of a pacificst movement opposed to war.. this ended with the Blitz
Oh, I see, so that's why 4F in World War II was such a mark of shame, versus a badge of honor during the Vietnam War, and why women hated 4F men.

congratulations, I didnt read everything she wrote so I will own up to being wrong

Nope, I stand on the same position I held at the start of this white feather campaign of a thread: no one should be drafted.

Now I am hoping feminists will join the NCFM's lawsuit against the draft.

they have.. but for the most part most feminists are worried about things that will actually affect them.. unlike the draft which hasnt been implemented in 40 years and would be political suicide for any administration to start one or try ending it
In other words their claim that feminism helps men is a load of rubbish, they're in it for themselves and nothing else.

Good luck claiming her as a feminist, but I'm sure you'll try. Would be nice if the feminists took up her cause, it would be about damned time.

http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-...approves-plan-for-women-to-register-for-draft
On Tuesday, the Senate passed a defense authorization bill that would require young women to register for the draft — the latest development in a long-running debate over whether women should sign up for the Selective Service. The provision would apply to women turning 18 in 2018 or later and would impose the same requirements and rules that currently apply to men.

Hey MWG, Bent, La Huesera, Huskie, Calamity Jane and the rest of you bitch ass cowardly hypocrite women...

Remember how you attacked me for opposing the draft? Well that karma train whistle is getting louder and your asses are on the tracks with the men now.

This payback is fucking delicious as hell. Glory be that I am alive to see you and your daughters burn for what you said here.

You're gonna be out there with your kids crying to stop Selective Service right alongside the men and that's going to be glorious.

Glad to have your help.
