AFAF. You’ve been with someone for 15+ years. For at least 10 of those, your SO has physically cheated on you. You still love them, it seems they still love you. You find out they are KAF (kinky as fuck)…. And so are you. You try to open the book and encourage them to incorporate you. So still likes to masturbate while others watch online, posts fantasies, has toys and hides all of it from you. What do you do?

In my opinion, cheating is doing something that you know your partner doesn't approve of and that you have agreed not to do. It is not a set list of activities that applies to everyone. It depends on your relationship and what you have agreed to do and to refrain from doing. Every relationship is different.

HER: No fucking goats or chickens. Other women are fine.

HIM: <fucks a sheep>

HER: Damn you!

HIM: A sheep is not a goat! If you wanted sheep off the table, you should have said so!!!

I'm not really sure what online sex is supposed to mean.

Mutual masturbation in through webcams?

Explicit conversations?

Generally speaking, if you have to ask whether something is cheating, it probably is, assuming your lover isn't a jealous psycho.

If you're doing something with someone else that your lover would be upset over, and especially something that you would be upset to discover your lover doing instead of you, then it is probably cheating.

Being intimate with someone online is cheating unless you and your partner have agreed that it is OK. Obviously cheating is widespread in person so I am sure it is online as well. Morally cheating si bad and has the potential to cause pain to others. On the other hand cheating adds an extra level of thrill and might be the only way for a person to get what they desire without ending a relationship. Also there seems to be a number of people that would like their partner to cheat on them. Probably mostly men.

Having once had this convo with my wife, I disagree. Of course, let me exempt a woman having sex with other partners so long as her primary partner assents. That's playing, not cheating (or as I said to her, "it's not cheating if I want to watch!")

Actual cheating (the non-permissive type) is probably a niche kink.
