If so will Laurel/Manu please cancel my membership and delete my stories forthwith. I have had all the abuse I care to take from that particular individual over the last couple of years.

I'm off to another erotic stories board. One where bigots don't become moderators and change their names every few weeks to try and hide their identity.

Why did you do that I'm leaving forever thread, don't reply cause I won't be back, and then not a week later you're someone else and moderating again? You're establishing a pattern of behavior that's suspiciously dishonest from the outside.

You can be called to the carpet by any person on Lit just like I can and so can everyone else. That's part of taking up the mod-hood mantle. Your actions can be questioned.

I'm not horribly fond of Charm Brights myself, but that doesn't mean that what he says is illegitimate. Just because he doesn't like you or your moderating doesn't mean that he's got it in for you and just up and attacks you because he's out to get you. If he has a legitimate complaint, then it needs to be heard. If he chooses a public forum to air it, then that's his right as a member of the site. It's not up to you to decide legitimacy. It's not entirely up to the rest of the forum, either.

I would not want to be a part of a place that did not allow its members to question authority. If others have any respect in my authority, it's because I earned it through my actions as authority, not because I hold the position. Moderating here does not require that the posters respect authority because we do not moderate disputes.

I am not a mod here and I infrequently visit the story ideas forum so I don't know the history. I don't care to, either. Charm Brights did not break the rules, Charm Brights should not be silenced, ignored, or patronized. I stand firmly behind him in his right to criticize moderators.

My theory is that Tiggs just wants to keep her post total down so that she doesn't get to be Number 1 on the member list. What better way of doing that then switching names every so often?

Gets rid of prior baggage, too. Except, someone always figures it out and the prior baggage rides along. Hmmm...maybe changing names and starting over here doesn't work after all.

I am not "hiding". If I ere, people wouldn't know who I was. I wouldn't be up front about it. Not that many would give a shit (and this will answer KillerMuffin's question even though "she won't be back to read it"), but I have been through a lot in my personal life. I am not going into detail. Yes, I've made a few names here and there. I got tired of "Tiggs" (which I used in many corners of the net since the early 90s). I wanted a change. I, saddly, had some bad choices in names, I guess. Bottom line, though, Laurel never would have appointed me a Mod years ago, or reappointed me, if she thought I could not do the job.

With that, I shall not come back to "Charm"_Bright's thread. For those of you who hate me for whatever reason, too bad.

I didn't say that I wasn't going to read this thread either, I was quoting what I remembered from your last goodbye thread. My sentence was too ambiguous.

You'd think that the voters wouldn't put a man in office if he's a crook, wouldn't you? Nixon squeezed in anyway. Laurel is not divine and infallible. That's why we question authority.

If someone has a problem with a moderator, there's no reason why that person cannot bring that problem up. There is no reason for a responsible moderator to get reactionary, defensive, and put that poster down for a legitimate concern no matter what the history.

Why can't Charm Brights question your suitability as a moderator? This is not an autocracy.

People question my suitability as a mod, too. Primarly cause I don't really do anything and I am even worse than you are about having bad personality traits that run roughshod all over other posters and the board.
