Is it true that nobody comments on the "Gay Male" catagory?

So, I was reading one of my other threads, wondering why my stories were rated so low but no one commented to tell me why, and I got a lot of responses saying that no one ever comments in the gay category, and that it's one of the least viewed. Someone asked if I'd ever written anything strait, that it might get comments...

So... what's up with that?

Put a link to the story here, people will see it.

There are piles of stories published every week, they get lost quickly.

Hmm. It shows promise. But it's not going to be a hit with readers here-- they don't want to read all about YOU. They want to get to the fappage. What you're trying to do with all the interior monologue, takes a hell of a lot of skill and polish that you don't yet have...

Some gay male stories get lots of comments. Lots. They are usually stories by writers who have put up a lot of work. Many of their readers don't just chance upon their stories in the New list, they seek out these writers and their stories . . . and that kind of reader is more likely to comment, also.

Anyway, it's not the category. Stories in some categories, like incest or romance, get many more comments than stories in other categories, but that's because those categories attract more readers.

Keep writing and submitting. The comments will come. :rose:

Fair enough- it gets more fappable as it goes along. :p

I comment on gay stories all the time, indeed, pretty much the only category I read.

I will take a peek at yours and comment, if warranted.

I have even edited a few gay stories for fellow members, who where writing in the genre but without much experience with (gay) men (some due to the fact that they were women writers: who write some wonderful gay romance, by the way.)
