Geez, at that rate, we wouldn't arrive until Christmas!
I think right now a "maybe" is a possibility for both of us. It would be fun, but Oman will be starting juggling 3 part-time jobs now.

The spouse wasn't real thrilled with the idea, but didn't say no either. I'll put a request in for work as will he this week and we'll have to see what happens. If we do come, it'll be for one day only and we'll leave for the rest of our vacation after that.
Yellowstone depends now on Gas prices rather than anything else. Granted we put it off two years ago because of gas prices and last year because of my hospital stay. I told him, gas prices are just going to go up, we can't put off this vacation forever.

He does like the idea of finally meeting you. If we don't go to Yellowstone, then I don't see why we can't get as far as you! lol.
We'll be using the van we gave to my sister, because my car won't be a comfortable ride, and the truck will cost way too much money. lol. I get the impression a lot of this is done at the park, so are you looking for folks to bring covered dishes? picnic stuff? etc...

Unfortunately we're not allowed to bring in coolers. Last year we took a bag to put our blankets in, carried our chairs ... and hid the liquor and some fruit in the blankets. They have food stands there.
The event doesn't start until noon ... last year we all met ahead of time and had brunch ... then off to the park. The food wasn't unreasonable at the park so we had dinner there (besides ... you can't leave SITP without having a turkey leg!
) We left around 6 to go back to the hotel and have a swim, then showered, changed, and headed back for the main event. Our hotel will be closer to the park this time ... and we'll have shuttle service. So in case we're all too drunk to drive .... we're covered!

That sounds reasonable. And depending on the driving schedule we may end up there on Friday night, then attend part of Saturday's festivities before heading out, or just head out very very early Sunday morning. I'll know more by the end of the week or so.

Hopefully SITP will get their website updated soon ... if I were you, I'd wait until I found out who the main event was going to be. Last year it was B.B. King ... we had pretty decent seats ... and it was AWESOME!
