Hi all. Not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but I'm hoping someone can answer my question. My stories involve my two biggest fetishes, pretty women smoking and incest. I figured since they involved my smoking fetish, I should list them under Fetish. But now I'm thinking the incest aspect of them would draw more attention (as well as more "competition", understandably). Is it possible to re-categorize my stories into the taboo or incest genres?

That's a question for Laurel. I've been told that it's not uncommon for her to publish a story in a different category than the one an author indicates. And I think that the incest component would dictate the category stronger than the taboo/fetish.

That's why tags are important.

You can try following the normal procedure for posting an edited version, and simply describe the situation in the Notes to Admin field, i.e., you think you miscategorized the story. I don't think that will get you placed back on the New list, of course, so it may not help you reach a wider audience, or at least, not quickly. You could also consider writing a sequel, continuation, etc. of the original story and include a link to it in the new story in the Incest category, which might help drive some traffic back to it.

Thanks! Great ideas. Will definitely try. Haven't figured out how to edit a published story though...

I tagged them with smoking, fetish, incest, mom, and son. But I placed them in the Fetish category, because I thought people interested in incest might be turned off by the smoking aspect. And whomever made the decision just placed it where I specified. It was my mistake, being a first-time author on here.

The words "normal procedure" in my original post are a link to the instructions for editing published stories.
Thank you so much! Sometimes this site feels like one of my dungeon crawler mobile games, where I have to find secret passages and solve puzzles to progress.

Incest trumps other categories, so in this case Laurel messed up by NOT posting your stories there.
There are times that there is incest where it is posted to another category. Sometimes Laurel will add a note that there is incestual content in the story.

I submitted one last night the is mother and son, but it's all anal, so I submitted it to the Anal category. We'll see if she agrees with that or moves it.

I would think with proper tags and possibly an editor's note, folks can decide if the content is interesting and arousing to them no matter what category it's shelved in. And while I know my stories are appropriately stored in the fetish category, I just think they might get more eyeballs in the most popular category. You might consider posting yours to incest and taboo as well. If you care about how many people actually read your stuff. I'm just posting stories that I have written for myself over the years. Decided other people might enjoy them as well.
