Is it pizza

Throw on whatever tastes good. I don't care about the toppings as long as you like them. For me, just put on as many different dead animals as you can find.
Just DON'T call deep-dish "pizza." Chicago makes a tasty casserole, but it ain't pizza.

Thin crust or stuff crust is usually the way I'll get it! As far as toppings... I'm not too picky.... sausage, ham, pepperoni, bacon, chicken, peppers, olives, onions, spinich... and of course, pineapple😝

I'm not insulting Chicago pizza. I'm complimenting Chicago casserole.
 
We make pizza at home in our wood burning Mugnaini pizza oven or get it from a couple of places. Don't really like "chain" pizza places.
Our go to place is Pizza Nostra which was on One Bite Pizza Reviews.

The best pizza I ever had is called a double crust white pizza in Old Forge, PA.

There is nothing like it. About once or twice a year I order and have them ship it to me. Totally worth the cost.

Our local joint makes their own buttermilk ranch with fresh herbs and it's the only time I'll dip. And only the crust. It's pretty bomb.
 
I went out to lunch a couple weeks ago with some of my favorite Litsters. I had the most fabulous pizza. It had bacon, caramelized onion, feta cheese and Brussel Sprouts. Yes. I said it. Brussel Sprouts on pizza.

I make my own crust when I do pizza. Sometimes with butter, sometimes with oatmeal. I prefer pesto to red sauce. Cheese. Yes. Most any kid and lots of it. The more toppings the better. Pepperoni, salami, sausage, olives, arts, spinach, garlic, onions, shrooms, more cheese, walnuts, sundried maters, even anchovies. I could eat pizza almost daily.
 
(Warning, this post may be upsetting to most reasonable people. I admit this under the strictest expectation of anonymity.)

My wife is doing the keto diet - very limited carbs, so we've been having very little of any grain products. Tonight I made a "pizza" on a store bought cauliflower crust. I lightly spread it with maranara, sprinkled with cheddar, parmesian, and Doubliner cheese, sweet peppers, cherry tomatoes, onions, garlic, basil, and oregano.

It turned out amazingly light and yummy, no doubt seasoned by a longing for something Italian-ish, bread-like, and crunchy. :rolleyes:

I tried a cauliflower crust "pizza" a couple of weeks back and was so mad it didn't taste awful. I'll still cut my carbs another way.

I usually make my own and throw italian seasoning and garlic powder into the dough. Topped with chicken/bacon and either an alfredo or BBQ base depending on what I'm craving. With the alfredo I'll add spinach and with the BBQ some red onion. Then do a garlic butter brush on the outside crust to finish.
